I don't have any claims towards the transcript. It's probably accurate, but it doesn't change the context around the case. The article flat out denies the use of a fighter jet.

It doesnt.

They scrambled a fighter jet to watch over the plane as is usual with any plane that gets threatened or hijacked. The Ryanair pilot was left unaware of this.

I'm sorry. I mean having a jet fighter there to bring them down by force. It is not "as usual". But I don't think most people are going to take this seriously anyway. Particularly as this is such a well covered event.
