Every time I make this mistake I have to repeat to myself that this is not representative of a significant number of my neighbors until I believe it. It's probably a lie.

That seems to be the normal state of commentary on any mainstream media post.

I saw a ton of climate change deniers / conspiracy nutbags on a Global news video talking about the wildfires.

I saw from this link that NP had a story on that too. It was basically "did leftist eco-terrorists set the fires? No, but Maxime Bernier tweeted that it's totally something they would do".
