You mean if you open your instance in browser (logged in) you see more?
No, if I open the same post in the inbuilt browser (not logged in) I see all comments.
What instances are those comments posted from?
Random, some are on the same instance (lemmy.ca) some are on lemmy.world or others.
There's comments from your own instance you're missing? Now that's odd. I assume it's not users you've filtered/blocked. Can you post an example thread? I'm curious how many comments I see vs. what you see logged in.
I have bots disable in my account settings so the bot accounts don't show up, but they're still counted in the total number of comments for posts.
Could it be that you have bot accounts disabled?
I use Connect but don't have that issue.
Whenever there's more comments but you can't see them. It's because a mod likely deleted them. Has happened several times.
There are replys to my posts or comments that I see in my inbox or when I open the post in browser but not in app.
Oh. That's different. Submit a report to the dev maybe?
The next two are showing the unconnected web page in the inbuilt browser and the comments are visible.
This is in the app showing there should be two comments. But seeing none.
Isn’t this a problem stemming from server bans?
None of these not showing are banned
I get that in Sync too, probably a Lemmy ish
