This isn't the westjet of 2018, sadly, and it appears to be going downhill so fast that it'll be at Air Canada levels of enshittification by the summer.
Hammer them, early and often, as these guys can't be expected to naturally be good.

I think they’re at least at Air Canada levels right now.
If it's denied, passengers can file a complaint with the Canadian Transportation Agency, a process can take up to two years due to a backlog of about 64,000.
I’m on that queue. I’ll let you guys now the result in a few years.
Disappointing, hopefully just a one off as I have always had great experiences with WestJet. Time will tell.
West jet was bought out by onyx. In 2019. west jet employees have said things have gone down hill ALLOTT since then.
