I like to do labels for my ciders, and I like to base them on film poster from the Spanish film maker Luis Bunuel :)

Love it! Highly likely I'd buy this if I saw it on a shelf just because of the label!

Cheers :) It's "stolen" art of course, I could not use this for anything commercial I am sure. But when it's just for me and my friends this is the way I prefer to do it.

It's still awesome, stolen or not :) I do love the idea of using movie poster - style graphics as wine or cider labels, I think it's a great match.

Thank you :) Yes, there's so much interesting art out there in poster format which works well as labels. I did one based on The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie as well, and one based on Belle de Jour (also with Belle de Boskoop apples, of course).

Do you have pictures of those too? I'd love to see them!

This one is the Belle de Jour. It's basically the film poster, or one of the film posters from this film. I like it because it's 100% belle de boskoop juice, so that sort of works, right?

You brightened my brew day.

I am too lazy to make labels, so I sometimes drink some surprise beer or cider.

That would be fun, but do they do sidra in Andalusia? I was under the impression Spanish cider is more or less Asturian or nothing.

I don't believe so. People may produce it for personal consumption at lower elevations of the Sierra Nevada.

I just liked the name, and it made me think of the Pixies song 'Debaser' about Un Chien Andalou which has the line 'slicing up eyeballs, I want you to know' which easily goes to 'slicing up apples, I want you to know'
