The comments, by Andrew RT Davies, were in response to Vaughan Gething's sacking of a minister on Thursday alleging she leaked text messages to the media, which she denies.

It also follows months of turmoil in Welsh Labour over controversial donations to Mr Gething's leadership campaign.

Mr Davies said his party "will have conversations with other parties" in Cardiff Bay to see the level of support for a no-confidence motion.

Why does anyone listen to what Andrew Davies has to say any more?

From the outset: I'm not a Tory, I'm pretty fuckin' far away from what would be Conversative platforms, but this dude just seems to be the ackshyually kid that is a minor noise in the background but brings no real solutions to the table.

If you're going to noise up Drakeford and then be made to look an inch tall by one of the most mild mannered people in modern politics, then what are you doing in government?

I don't get it at all. If there are any more right-leaning folk about (I don't bite!), I'd love to hear why he's somehow the figurehead of opposition politics in Wales.

I'm honestly unsure how or why he's ended up in the position he is it, it may just be that there's little other choice on the right-wing for people in Wales and he's just the only thing over that way at the minute.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more Reform characters on the scene down here in South Wales.

I thought that might have been the case as well, certainly down the south west. I'm from the other south originally and I still can't get my head around having David Davies in office (at the risk of conflating MPs and AMs). Lots of parodies, tropes, and long standing gags - but I've never really understood why.

I've spoken with him on a couple of occasions and he's a genuine and nice enough bloke, but we couldn't be further apart on 90% of issues.

"My team of ministers are united about the reality of where we are and what we've had to do, and the fact that there are priorities for all of us in doing the things that matter to the people of Wales.

"Any motion of no confidence is not expected to be put forward for some weeks, due to procedural and logistical issues.Labour has 30 of the 60 members in the Senedd chamber, meaning a Labour member would need to abstain for a no-confidence vote to pass.
