The second round of Weather has coincided with the thankful resolution of 2 hours of panicking over losing my phone and retracing my steps a billion times.

Fittingly, it turns out my phone was lodged in my umbrella... I must've dropped it in there when I left it loosely open and upside down while going to the bathroom or something.

that was a very stressful 2 hours though fuck me.

At my casual retail job, I don't get a consistent number of hours. Last year, they asked me if I wanted to do a three hour shift that starts at 7am on a Sunday which is every week. I said yes due to the consistency and the pay being good. But I find myself being unable to sleep at a reasonable hour, and so every Sunday, I am extremely groggy and irritable. It's been a year of this, and I ruined the relationship I was in because of emotional impulsivity due to lack of sleep. I also consistently make little mistakes during the shift that I wouldn't make if I had slept properly, which also probably affects the way the managers see me. I tend to daudle getting ready because I'm so tired and am usually in a rush to get to work. I also don't get to go out on Saturday nights, which I guess isn't that much of a dealbreaker, but still kind of sucks. I've figured something has to change. I feel like if I can't even wake up at 6 without being a freaking insomniac, I don't think I'll be able to hold down a job. I don't know how I'll be able to wake up for placement if I do teaching or some allied health course.

So it's either, I force myself to wake up at 7am every single day and keep the 6am wake up on a Sunday, in the hope that I'll be able to sleep better and improve my sleep hygiene. This is coming from a night owl who somehow just comes awake when I'm supposed to sleep. I'm thinking this is probably the better option for now because I don't have the energy or time to write cover letters.

Or I quit and find a more predictable part time job that will allow me to take annual leave during potential placement next year. This will probably help with giving me a sense of routine.

I had roast pork for dinner and it was amazing. There is just something special about a good roast.

Market shop great success. I have veg for the week, salami, meat for the week, raspberry tea (love you Polish Shop), dumplings, tortellini and fresh library books.

The guy who runs the Wesh van must really like me. He gave me free mint tea with my lunch

Movie Review. Man with the Golden Gun. 1974 Bond Movie.

So boring I feel insulted. Not even Saruman could save this movie.

Sometimes the only reason to pay some attention to these movies is to see what was the fad at the time, in that movie it was king fu, and the gadgets, which at that time would have been really whiz bang and ahead of their time.

lol, in Live and Let Die 1973, bond had a digital watch, it had a red LED display , a few years before the general public had even heard of digital watches

5 hours on PT today to see a doctor.

I'm getting myself a cheap car in a few months if everything goes well. Been so fucking long since I've driven. Might need some lessons I think.

Another protest in the city.

But the one thing that caught my eye is the number of Toyota Klugers in the police fleet lined up on the street. And then there's us having to wait months maybe years for a delivery lol.

Looks like the cbd and the inner east copped it. Only minor here in Thornbury. Rain yes, no hail and not much thunder.

A big thank you to @[email protected] for hooking me up with an optiplex. It started without a problem and I've got it running how I want it to now.

Time to check out some of the selfhosting communities and see what I can do with this thing

Thunder is here and lightning too.

I can see purple on the rain radar. This doesnโ€™t bode well.

Never realised that Platinum Qantas get shown different flight and pricing options. Was tentatively considering travelling end of yearโ€”which I used toโ€”but have avoided like the plague for donkeys. The difference displayed in pricing was 2:1.

I shouldnโ€™t be surprised. I get better treatment on a lower tier by partner airlines internationally compared to flying domestically at home and Qantas planes wouldnโ€™t know what a deep clean was if it hit them on the head.
