Unironically, that's a good use of chatGPT (and similar). Prompt like "Write an email about topic”.
We had an exercise at a work event where we had to come up with an idea, make a press release, then a shark tank pitch based off the release. I just told AI to write the press release based off the example they gave, then write a shark tank pitch based off the release.
I had to tweak it a tiny bit because my group had specific requirements, but it did a fantastic job overall with getting the tone of the pitch right.
BTW, the idea we were coming up with had to incorporate AI, so I thought it was fair to use AI to write it.
I think that's the perfect usage: Use the text producer to produce a text similar in shape to the ones it has been trained to imitate, then apply a human touch to sand any rough edges and finish it.
I have it write my performance review.
