That couldn't be more of a strawman even if he was with a lion, a Kansas girl and a tin man on a yellow brick road

Well said. I entered the comment section to say something about a strawman fallacy, but yours is perfect.

...don't get what tankies love so much about dictators, but hey....at least they are blatant about it.

Xi is in power of similar level since 2007.

He has been in high power positions since 1985.

Which is the year McFucknugget became a senator.

A far better comparison would be Biden. He has been in power since forever.

Or Kissinger. But we dont want to put Pooh next to actual monsters, do we?! That could put a bad light on the Honey Papa, wouldnt it?

What? Biden, Kissinger, what year is it?

I don't know a single person in the US who has unilateral control over anything. Hell, none of the US people mentioned can consistently get anything done.

And the CIA had to repeatedly send memos to Cold War presidents telling them Stalin wasn't an absolute dictator that could do anything he wanted on word alone.

But I'm sure Xi has more direct control. Definitely no bureaucratic manuevering involved in 2025 China.

Kissinger is dead, Biden is nearly dead and stepping down at the end of his term.

Not the best examples.

A single 10 year stint as president would be acceptable, assuming impeachment was still do-able and reelection is banned even after a 1 day term...

I always kind of thought the President should be a one six year term.

I still think there should be an age limit on federal elected offices. Like 10 years older than retirement age as of the date of inauguration. Along with an annual required physical with public results.

But then again, I'd automatically void all personal NDA's at the moment anyone declared their candidacy for office.

Made friends with a member of the CCP who got lotteries to take part in an election. This is what they said the procedure was:

All the chosen electors assembled in a big city hall, and were told about the election procedure which included which candidate needed to win the election.

Everyone took their turn to vote, but no one was allowed to leave the hall until after the votes had been counted.

To be fair, Xi Jinping has much more power than Nancy Pelosi or Mitch McConnell.

Who is the guy at bottom left? Pretty sure that's nobody but a straw man.
