Summary

Experts warn that Trump’s proposal for the U.S. to "take over" Gaza is fueling jihadist propaganda and could inspire terrorist attacks.

Security analysts say extremist groups will use his remarks to recruit, portraying the U.S. as an occupying force.

Critics, including Sen. Chris Murphy, argue Trump’s rhetoric directly aids terrorist recruitment.

Despite global backlash, Trump has defended his stance.

Former officials warn that, combined with recent cuts to intelligence agencies, these statements heighten the risk of terrorism targeting Americans at home and abroad.

wow, rallying against a fascist regime threatening to invade, what a... checks notes ... "jihadist terrorist" thing to do.

fuck you.

I'd also like to add that they outed every single CIA operative hired in the past two years.

Fantastic job, assholes.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/cia-sent-unclassified-email-names-recent-hires-rcna190872

"After President Donald Trump’s executive order on shrinking the federal workforce, the Office of Personnel Management sent a memo on Jan. 20 to all federal agencies asking for a list of recently hired employees who remained on probation by Jan. 24.

The OPM, however, does not have a classified communications network. So the CIA sent it an unclassified email with the first names and the initials of the last names of the new employees, the official said."

Fuck the CIA.

Trump's Gaza comments hand ~~jihadist terrorists~~ anti-genocide resistance fighters a 'rallying cry,'

Dear imperial news... Stop promoting racism and genocide.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 4 days ago

Also notable that basically the whole world condemned this plan. So I'd say it's a pretty damn broad audience who will rally against this.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 4 days ago (2 children)

I mean to be fair, it'll hand both a rallying cry. Both resistance fighters and "let's bomb some infidels" terrorists don't like the prospect of an American annexation of Gaza, to put it lightly.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

Also if getting rid of foreign invaders troops in your area is followed by them coming back 15 years later in a different place nearby, you might get tired of the whack a mole and start thinking of looking at the place they keep coming from.

Israel and Trump have the same end goal of turning Gaza into free real estate so unless the Arab states make enough noise I don't think they'll object too much.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

Israel as in Netanyahu sure. Will the fundamentalist wing accept non-Jews settling in Gaza? How will this occupation even look like?

[–] phoenixz 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

You're trying to tell me there is no such thing as jihadist terrorists?because if you don't I can send you a long LONG list of terror attacks by jihadist terrorists that killed countless innocent men, women, and children.

Now before you take this away and claim i support genocide, because that's the world we live in now, I don't. Obviously.

Once freedom fighter is a other ones terrorist

Having said that, jihadist terrorists have caused untold suffering as well. This might sound strange, but both sides can be bad and things like collateral damage don't justify the suffering these groups have caused.

The Israeli government (not it's people, just it's vile leaders) should be put against the wall and shot for all the (child) murders and genocide. The same, however, goes for the jihadist terrorist groups, they too should be eradicated for the countless innocent people (and children) they've murdered

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

I think this person saw "jihadist terrorist" and understood that to mean Hamas or PIJ rather than ISIS and Al Qaeda, which is more the article's intention.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

The tone deaf, imperialist rhetoric supporting Islamic ethnic cleansing from the commander of the world's most powerful military and nation can radicalized people on matters of survival and principle to fight back with whatever means that they?! Color me shocked.

Who has the return of the crusades on their bingo cards?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It's gonna suck but the drip will be fire

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (2 children)

They had to make sure to have quality kneepads... You know why.

This is def AI though, right? I can't put my finger on it, but it just has that look.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

They had to make sure to have quality kneepads... You know why.

Oh, I do know why! You really made fun of them good by implying they do gay stuff.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

The fact that you think the joke was about being gay, says a whole lot about you.

I could not care less about dudes sucking dick. I was referring to the subservience that comes with it. I

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

Yeah yeah, just quickly asked bing on my phone. I'm honestly surprised would make it for me.

I tried placing the setting in Palestine but then it refused that and all future requests :p

[–] [email protected] 16 points 4 days ago

This is exactly what we don't need. Another 9/11 like attack could unify all of our politicians (and probably much of the population) behind Trump, which would end up being very bad for everyone. We've just arrived at a point where glassing the middle east with nuclear weapons is no longer a common talking point. Please, for fuck's sake, just sit back and let the federal government implode.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 4 days ago

Trump is making himself another 9/11

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago

I hope they don't need an address. A well trained dog could figure that out real quick.

[–] phoenixz 4 points 4 days ago

Yeah so we know that cheeto isn't capable of thinking ahead for more than 30 seconds, but seriously, he couldn't see this coming?

He basically gave a nice big gift with a cherry in too to all terrorism networks in the world. Maybe Trump should become marketing manager for AlQaeda? I mean, I think few could have done a better job.

Having said that: expect terrorism to rise over the next few years like there is no tomorrow, literally.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Yeah, next four years is going to be rough for everyone except the wealthy.

I predict a contemporary security failure worse than 9/11 or Israeli October 7th Orc invasion, and will ignite the World War powder keg once again.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

Israeli October 7th Orc invasion

Who upvotes this kind of racist pro-genocide crap? Zios are fash cultists.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 days ago

Bro, they flew in with gliders, shot and killed hundreds of kids at a concert...

Please enlighten me what kinds of heroic "freedom fighters" take hostages for ransom money?

This is not a rhetorical question, I'm genuinely asking you because I'm dumb.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 4 days ago (3 children)

I wouldn't want the wealthy to feel left out. Perhaps we should roll out the guillotines?

[–] [email protected] 11 points 4 days ago

Get their head in the game.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago

The wealthy are more reliant on a stable domestic environment than most, should fear chaos for the reasons you suggest.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago

That person is advocating for racism and genocide. I'm willing to bet they support the capitalist terror regime too.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago (4 children)

Genuine question: if israel wants to expand their territory, and it seems clear that they do, why would they want to give gaza to christian americans? Isnt total control their aim? Why would they let america take territory they see as their owm.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

They never really wanted gaza, it's a small piece of land with little historical ties to the bible/Torah. In fact it has more ties to the philistines (non jewish inhabitants of the area), yes that's where the word Palestine comes from, who were there historical enemy.

There long term goal pre October 7th was to try and move all the Palestinians in the rest of Israel into Gaza. You could see this with there funnel immigration policy, if you left Israel for east Jerusalem you couldn't come back to israel, if you left east Jerusalem for the west bank you couldn't come back to Jerusalem, if you left the west bank for Gaza you couldn't come back to the west bank.

The problem with this plan, besides the ethics of doing a slow ethnic cleansing, was that if you concentrate that many people in an open air prison it tends to radicalize them against the wardens. So they had to deal with constant missile fire, they thought Iron dome would solve this but Oct 7th removed that image of safety.

So now they need a new plan. They can't force them out as no country will take them. They can't occupy it long term because it just becomes a pit to throw Israeli soldiers in, that's why they left in 2005. So trump volunteering to take it off there hands is the perfect solution, the u.s. can pay the money and lives in a quagmire while the Israelis can "live in peace"

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago

Thank you for explaining it to me.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

I think their extreme hate of anything Palestinian might just top their desires for the land.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Fair call, but how will they get along with evangelical christians dying for the apocalypse?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago

As long as these are their bitch, which the US political elites mostly are, they would be fine with it. Also ideally the Americans would then do the fighting and murdering for them, so they can just collect the scraps in the end.

There is a lot of delusions of grandeur in Israel though. By not getting any serious pushback from the US and the lobby capture of US politics many Israelis have become completely detached from the reality of their position. Among younger Jews outside Israel the majority has become critical of it and want little to do with it. Meanwhile Palestinians have a higher birthrate and pre genocide there was about as many Palestinians in the area as there was western Zionists.

So the apartheid system is becoming less and less stable as the demographics tip over. This became evident with Oct. 7 and Israel needs every help they can get to ethnically cleanse or fully genocide as many Palestinians as they can get away with. In the same sense they cannot be too picky about their settlers as long as they think they can control them.

Among others, Israel is harboring child rapists that fled from justice in the US. And this is not crazy propaganda to make them look evil. It is reported on by mainstream media outlets, including Israeli ones.

Eventually America will get bored and vacate the land, so the logical choice for an ally to take over is Israel

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

They surely don’t like this idea but they’re scared of daddy Trump.

Also they know it’s going nowhere and will be forgotten if they just ignore it.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, that sounds like what people said about project 2025, i dont believe the 'he doesnt mean it' crowd.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

He means it but I think this one will be way too unpopular to go anywhere. But we’ll see I guess. I’m no prophet.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago

I mean... that's probably (about as close as he has one) the plan...

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago

He could technically deport fellow Mexicans to Gaza. Is that when we say stop?
