Und sein Urlaub sei angenommen mal nur 3 echte Woche, weil er wirklich der über Leistungsträger ist. Dann dürfte er so knapp 3.000 Stunden im Jahr arbeiten. Aber wehe er ist einen Tag krank! Damit hat er dann einen Stundenlohn von 1.800 €

Die ganze Posse wird ihn mit Antwort, und Weiterleiten an andere Unternehmen, Reaktionen usw. mindestens mal 2 Stunden selbst beschäftigt haben.

Dazu kommt, dass er offenbar regelmäßig Bewerbungen für einfache Positionen in seinem Unternehmen mit 75.000 Beschäftigten mitlesen muss. Das dürften bei der Unternehmensgröße bei 40 Regelarbeitsjahren mindestens 1.900 Neubesetzungsverfahren sein, einfach nur um die Stellen zu halten. Da werden also mindestens mal 5.000-10.000 Bewerbungen im Jahr reinflattern, vielleicht auch mehr. Selbst wenn er nur 1% davon ließt, und sich dafür nur 5 Minuten Zeit nimmt, sind das weitere 4-8 Stunden.

Seine Ineffizienz hat das Unternehmen also allein in der Sache mindestens mal 10.000-18.000 € gekostet. Rechnet man die Personaler dazu, die ihm die Bewerbungen zuspielen müssen und die PR-Abteilung, die jetzt Schadensbegrenzung machen muss, dazu vielleicht noch die Rechtsabteilung, weil er zugegeben hat, die Bewerbung an andere Unternehmen weitergeleitet zu haben...

... dann ist es plausibel, dass die ganze Posse allein vom Personalaufwand bei e.on Kosten verursacht hat, mit dem man die Bewerberin in einer einfachen Vollzeitstelle ein Jahr lang oder länger hätte anstellen können.

Crack isn't a derivative of Cocaine. powdered Cocaine is typically the HCl salt. Crack is the free base, which makes it soluble for IV injection or smokeable. Because of the "direct" connection to the bloodstream it works much quicker and harder with a shorter duration. But it is the same active chemical compound.

As for recreational Cocaine use, i have witnessed many people falling into addiction w.o. realizing it. Typically it would go like this: Only at Festivals -> only in the club -> yeah birthday home party -> We are all very drunk at the bar, what if we call a dealer to extend the evening? -> i brought some to the bar already, so we don't have to find a dealer this time -> i'm bored at home...

Cocaine is especially dangerous in this regards because it is "smoother", the effects don't last as long as for other stimulants and in lower dosages it can go below the radar of people unfamiliar with drug use, whereas people on amphetamine are more easy to spot already from their physical appearance under the influence.

Dinge an denen ich kein Interesse habe / oder versuche bewusst einzuschränken:

• Kleidung -> erst kürzlich umzugsbedingt einen großen Teil entsorgt und die Lieblingssachen werden sowieso getragen, bis die Löcher zu groß sind.
• Mehr Elektronik / Haushaltszeug -> hier stehen schon genug Computer rum. Gegen den Drang ein Steamdeck für die Beschäftigung im Zug oder Flugzeug zu kaufen, musste ich etwas arbeiten.
• Typische Statussymbole -> Mein Ehering reicht als Accessoire und fette Armbanduhren finde ich oft albern.

Ansonsten sparen wir auch auf ein Haus/Wohneigentum. Damit könnte dann ggf. auch ein Auto sinnvoll werden. Da meine Parkkünste bescheiden sind, wäre kleiner auch besser. Falls man wirklich mal was Größeres vom Baumarkt transportieren muss, dann kann man sich das auch liefern lassen oder ein Auto mieten. Dürfte deutlich günstiger sein, als die nicht gebraucht Größe energiefressend durch die Gegend zu transportieren.

Gegen Impulskäufe kann es helfen, die Kaufentscheidung bewusst zu vertagen. Wenn man dann nach drei, vier Wochen noch genauso stark die Sache will, kann man sie immer noch kaufen.

If you made a movie with Austria as the cartoon villian on the inside, people would claim it to be unrealistic.

I once traveled with French people. As we were leaving the airport building up on arrival and met our local tour guide, one of them pulled out her cigarettes. All of the area had big signs declaring non smoking and pointing to the designated smoking area.

I asked her to go to the smoking area, since we should comply with local customs and laws as guests.

The reply was "oui, but i am French!"

We later had a whole drama with having to send her home earlier because of continuously offending local people.

French tourists also have a bad reputation in many countries because of behaviour like this.

Using Cocaine as a local anesthetic is very different from use aimed at psychoactive stimulation. E.g. having a small dosage injected in your gums vs. snorthing/smoking/IV use. I wonder though, how often it has to be used instead of lidocaine in practice.

We have the same issue with opiates, where the medical use is crucial, but the problems of abuse are also very strong. However while the physical addiction is extremely strong with opiates, it seems that many of the associated problems are particularly strong due to criminalization. E.g. people with chronic pains who receive opiates permanently can life a somewhat normal life, despite a physical dependence having developed. Programs that provide clean heroin to addicts have been very successful in mitigating a lot of the harm.

People who are high on Cocaine, Meth or Alcohol constantly will cause problems to themselves and others. The Ego-boost and inhibition reduction destroy peoples character. You also have regular reports from heroine users, that their local drug scene got much more problematic, when there was a wave of crack coming in.
