Super productive prepping the garden this weekend. Went to the woods next-door, found some great fallen branches for our garden arbour. No one about until we headed back home, then there was everyone, and we looked really weird carrying 7ft branches. Got the beds de-weeded, got the raised beds setup. Ready for the spring just the front to go for.

So I actually just joined this community a few days ago to get some ideas. I live in a very old home, about 140-150 years old. It's been a really great house, but it has its quarks.

I initially came here to get some ideas for home improvements. So I guess I'll just ask. What are some extremely easy upgrades that you recommend someone with an old house make? They can be a little expensive, it doesn't matter.

I replaced my faucets recently to something more modern. It was actually extremely east to do. The replacement kitchen faucet even had a mechanism for tightening it without going under the sink and trying to turn a wrench down there. Still had to go under the sink to connect the water lines and of course disconnect the old faucet.

Got a new coat hanger, the old one had ripped out the wall, repaired the wall and sanded it. Hung up the new one with the correct hardware. Removed everything out of our "playroom", repainted and built out some shelving. Turning the playroom into my new home office. Hopefully finish the move in this coming weekend.

Just chopped down 2 small/medium trees that had roots that went under the foundation and cracked the shower drain pipe. Pipe and foundation got fixed professionally as gas to be jackhammered but had to make sure doesn’t happen again. Anyone experience with killing the roots from the stump or digging it out?
