I've been posting the link to lemmy.ca wherever I can, like over at YouTube for instance... and I wanted to make sure that's ok before finding out it's not for some reason.

So, is that ok?

Probably best to give some thoughtful context whenever you do so, otherwise dropping the link on its own could eventually be interpreted as spam.

Hey there, me again. Would it be a good or bad idea to try to get Lemmy mentioned in some news article(s)? I don't have connections or anything, but wouldn't mind trying... could write a few emails. I don't know how much attention you want to draw to it, so just a thought.

while we are happy that you're willing to help spread the word around about us, we would recommend just getting to know the site and the users and the community a bit more before getting too involved in promoting the site. thanks though!
