General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both [email protected] and [email protected] .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

The BBC have consistently been on the wrong side when it comes to Palestine.

In the interests of discussion...

I read the article and it doesn't seem that unreasonable that they pulled the documentary while they investigate the production company.

For example, if I was watching a documentary on Gaza and there was some close connection to the IDF and the production company, I would probably want that investigated too, as the documentary could be misrepresentative.

I hope that the BBC investigates and that the documentary is found to be accurate or as unbiased as possible, or whatever criteria they are looking to satisfy.

The more documentaries exposing the suffering in Gaza the better!

Well you are watching the media that literally feeds you fake stories of beheaded Israeli babies on all cylinders, gets caught but keeps doing it.

You are being "reasonable" with an adversary who is a threat actor who committing genocide.

Sometimes being reasonably and neutral is actually picking sides.

Kinda lime being neutral and reasonable on Russian right to invaded Ukraine.

The BBC has been a regime mouthpiece since before the Brexit referendum. The Iraq war was the last time the BBC consistently put out content that was against government policy.

On top of that the BBC has also been infiltrated by Zionists like Raffi Berg and Robbie Gibb who ensure the editorial line stays sympathetic to whatever Israel wants.

More specifically, they have been a Tory mouthpiece, and still are. Labour should take steps to restore its independence.

With all Labour's efforts to get rid of "anti-semites" from the party, I wouldn't hold your breath for any real change.

Pro-Palestine viewpoints are political poison. Look at Corbyn.

Wasn't the anti-semitism thing a bit of an excuse/scapegoat as they were so scared of actual socialist policy?

Maybe, but that shot of Corbyn holding a wreath at that Hamas guys funeral pretty much defined the Labour side of that election.

Not that any other leader would have won against Boris anyway, it was all about Brexit and bluster.
