BlueSky and Spoutible. I'm new to Lemmy, really enjoying it so far.
Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either [email protected] or [email protected].
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email [email protected]. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try [email protected] or [email protected]
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

None ;)
I used to use Reddit. I now use Lemmy. That's it.
To be clear, I do own accounts on many other platforms, including Mastodon, as a way to keep those handles under my hand. I simply don't use them and see little reason to start using them.
Same.
Although I like to recommend RSS. 'Social " media is overrated. If people are looking for content them just subscribe directly to the source.
RSS is really great, always has been. And many sites support RSS, not just for a main feed but also sub topic feeds.
I use NetNewsWire on iOS
Mastodon, as I can filter any content with specific words, and tbh it's the best thing ever.
I'm following some hashtags and find that many posts with them are in languages I don't know. Is there a way to keep posts to the languages I do know?
Mastodon is my preference 😊 I really like my timeline
Not counting Lemmy
The only other one I even use is Tumblr. And only when Lemmy is extra slow and boring. It's harder to actually just talk to people on Tumblr, the way "replies" work there. I use SM more for the social part. The memes and content are just bonuses.
Mastodon with tag subscription is pretty awesome. On the advance web client you can even do multiple rows with different hashtag subscriptions so it's like a self aggregating Lemmy
I suppose the fediverse in general.
BRIAR
I could (hypothetically) post "DEATH TO [Insert Name of Billionaire Here]" on Briar Public Forums and not get censored. Becauae its peer to peer and there no "server", there no moderatoes, in fact, there is no moderation at all (which is why images are not allowed on public forums).
I have seen a dude spewing kremlin propaganda about the war in Ukraine, and others countering the propaganda, but still have yet to see any bigotry (hopefully I don't ever see any).
Sadly it’s Android only
Matrix
Assuming "Lemmy" is including all Threadiverse software, Lemmy/mbin/piefed, then probably Reddit, which is the closest analog.
mbin (that is counting Lemmy btw)
Lemmy. Mastadon. YouTube.
