A Boring Dystopia

The world we live in isn't just dystopic, it isn't just stupid, trying to describe all the ways it sucks just makes for a really boring story.

Is this a joke? What else could be under that tarp? It even has a little flap for the plug.

I feel my ability to understand satire is being attacked by reality.

And I checked the comments and its a mix of musk riding:

"I don’t understand how people get so easily manipulated into hating someone that has done so much to change our life’s. Elon is great man and is doing great things for our country and uncovering so much corruption and honestly he needs more credit"

or thinking this is a joke:

"That’s not hiding the fact that there’s a swastikar under it"

Dude should get this wrap.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 2 days ago

Pre-rendered textures mapped onto simple polygons. Literally an N64 game model.

I guess this is the driver:

[–] [email protected] 34 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That actually looks better. But it's still a swastikar.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 2 days ago

It’s crazy how much less offensive it looks. I’m shook.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Can't even wrap them, it destroys the bodywork.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I regularly see 3 of them in my local area that are wrapped.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

op wasn't referring to the feasibility of wrapping but rather the disastrous consequences of it when using the word "can't"

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago

Oh ok, so if they didn't pay an astronomical amount of money for a proper primer coat first, it's gonna damage the low grade ~~stainless~~ steel body?

I'm not surprised really but I am constantly impressed at how Tesla managed to use such a low quality steel for that body.

Not beating those "low-poly" accusations

Now it just looks like it's joined KKK

That's got to be a Musk alt

Bots are cheaper than PR teams to employ

[–] [email protected] 76 points 3 days ago (5 children)

Why does he feel uneasy, the windows are unbreakable.

[–] [email protected] 57 points 3 days ago (7 children)

I always thought that was a weird challenge to issue. And why would you want unbreakable side windows? To frustrate a rescue?

[–] [email protected] 18 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I’ve never thought of it that way, lol. Tech Bros must just say and do whatever they think will earn them the most praise and money. I think that is why they raised that because it was being marketed as an “ultimate truck” even though when it panned out it was the complete opposite.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 2 days ago (1 children)

There have been a few tesla based deaths/incidents based on a clear lack of a planed way out.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Oh, it killed a CEO. And sister-in-law to Moscow Mitch? Nice.

Uhh, if you were the kind of enormous asshole that Elon Musk is, would you want to ride in any unarmored car?

[–] [email protected] 16 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

Elon has this thing in his mind where the world will turn into some apocalyptic dystopia like that Futurama episode where Fry freezes himself for another 1000 years. That's also why he put a bio attack mode in the Model X.

And now he's doing everything to make sure the world actually turns into that.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The bio defense mode is just a HEPA filter from what I can tell, my Seat Leon has that which I often activate in tunnels during winters as studded tires are creating a lot of concrete dust.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago

Yeah, no doubt it's probably not a wise idea to take a Model X into a WWI battlefield.

i never realised how big that car actually is

imagine how many kids you can run over with that thing, amazing

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

Run over? You mean decapitate with the sharp edges

[–] [email protected] 37 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's that thing really that long??? Jesus fuck

[–] [email protected] 33 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Pictures don't do them justice at all. They are hulking monstrosities in real life and it just doesn't really come across in pictures.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yeah crazy, this is the first time I have seen one and gone fuck that's stupid large. And at least here in Australia they won't pass our laws so I'm unlikely to ever see one. The thing just gets worse every time I look towards it hahaha

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago

While it doesn't pass the laws in Europe either I have seen news article about one being imported into my country under some special loophoole law.

[–] [email protected] 44 points 2 days ago (7 children)

Spending all that money on an automobile, and not bothering to park it in the garage.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Wait, that place I put all my junk too good for outside but not good enough for in the house is for automobiles?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 days ago

The garage only has space for two of my vehicles when empty anyway. Besides, how else are people going to keep tabs on how my project car is going? They need to know when it finally has wheels.

[–] noseatbelt 17 points 2 days ago (4 children)

A friend of mine just bought a Toyota tundra and it's too long to fit in his garage. Honestly I never would have thought that'd be something you need to check first.

I don’t understand how people get so easily manipulated into hating someone that has done so much to change our life’s

  1. Not all change is good, you dimwitted simpleton.

  2. It's lives.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 2 days ago

That thing is stupid big. Or he is a really small man, which could be the reason he bought that.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Man don't put a loose cover on it like that outdoors, it'll scratch the finish and cause it to rust! Oh wait, I guess it does that anyway.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Shit, I forgot about "swastikar", I kept shouting "Nazi Car" at all the Teslas in DTLA today.

[–] Revan343 5 points 2 days ago

I'm partial to 'truckkk', but that obviously only works in text

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago

You guys need to see his fb page. He’s clearly rage baiting and it’s working great for him

[–] [email protected] 21 points 2 days ago

Now it’s ready for the KKK meeting.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 2 days ago

It might also be Saddam Hussain.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago

Why did someone put a car cover on a dumpster?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

He is the king of Telsa ragebaiting, he's looking EXACTLY for your reaction and has been doing so for years.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 days ago

OP is definitely shitposting. Honestly it's a pretty funny one!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago

perfect example of the disconnect

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

Don't look at comments, at least half of them on any given social media now is from a bot. A bot designed specifically to create "engagement", or in other terms, sew division through vitriolic discourse.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I wonder if you can apply something adhesive under the tarp and let it just sit overnight. There so many terrible things you can do under a tarp quickly and without anyone even knowing since the cameras are convered up.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 2 days ago (1 children)

After sealing up cracks and drafts in my house, all I can say is one can of spray foam can cause unimaginable frustration.

Ziptie the trigger and chuck it under the tarp.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Take the trigger off and whack the valve real hard, like you dropped it off a shelf. Spray foam will get everywhere and it’s impossible to stop.

Ask me how I know.
