Slap on the wrist incoming!

MAGA runs on hate, gotta fuel up.

Matt Walsh is a notorious turd burglar but I don't care if he was watching The Young Turks. My issue is with the fact that he killed someone with his car. It seems like he should be charged with negligent homicide.

Bad news, TYT are also transphobic 🙃

Also, problematically named

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

What do you find problematic? The name is honestly quite clever, and I find the parallels between the historic Young Turks and the modern Democratic party (big tent) rather apt.

The young Turks did a whole ass genocide. And IIRC Cenk still doesn't think it happened.

That was one of the groups that formed out of the Young Turks, yes, but the movement included Armenians.

I had a friend who became a cop a decade ago. I started noticing that he'd be on his phone while driving even while off duty. He shrugged it off as something like, "oh, I'm just so used to doing it on the job." We're not friends anymore.

How hard is it to just be a decent person???

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It's the most difficult thing in the entire world, but the most rewarding. Not just for you, but literally everyone around you.

Some folk stop caring and chalk it up to being old or some other tired excuse.

I don't find it difficult to not use my phone while driving, tbh I find it difficult to try to multitask or use my phone while driving, I just can't do it.

Holy shit, I was not expecting a jalopnik article to go that hard, nor was I expecting the comments to be so """woke""". I'm gonna need to read jalopnik more often.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 months ago

Jalopnik has surprised me before with how good they were. They somehow manage to be car guys without the toxic bullshit normally associated with it.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

Wait that's a car website‽ Based as hell

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 months ago

The number of times I've seen cops distracted driving as a cyclist, I'm not surprised.

Police should be subject to the same laws the rest of us are. Distracted driving is distracted driving. It's dangerous in every case, be it a work laptop or a phone.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 3 months ago

We need to deal with people using their phone while driving much more harshly.

So distracted by hating trans people. Put him in prison. These fascists need no leniency.
