This was a false flag he planned to build up support for his failing 'military exercise'

It would have been great if it was with Putin inside.

Damn you'd be banned on Reddit for saying that!

Only if I'd wish if Musk would be in it right? Since it's a limo, it would have been great if Putin, Trump, Vance and Musk would be in it.

Too true. I was just banned on Reddit for liking too many pro-Luigi posts

Is it ... the ... beginning?

[–] [email protected] 57 points 1 week ago (3 children)

I thought the same when the funny hot dog man turned war-criminal marched a surprising distance into Russia.

Nothing ever happens. :(

The headline is mistaken. I checked out an article with photos from the scene.

The limousine was authentic. The place was nice, a few blocks from the FSB headquarters.

But there was no "tremendous explosion" - the car just burnt. Every house had its windows intact, the car itself had its windows intact while burning, etc.

Explanations: technical malfunction, passer-by with fire cubes and a lighter.

Now they're getting it - blow up putin - end of war and Ukraine prevails. Also, trump and his entire criminal organization no longer have the backing and deviousness of putin and fail. America wins. The world wins.

Let's not miss next time, okay?

[–] [email protected] 38 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Blowing up Putin would be nice but it’s not a guarantee the war would end. It would lead to a power struggle in the Kremlin, no doubt, but there are loads of hawks in that regime and many are much more extreme than even Putin.

Of course, a more extreme war hawk might end up benefitting Ukraine by hastening the collapse of Russia. Or it might lead to nuclear war. It’s really hard to predict exactly what will happen.

Of course, considering he's a paranoid former KGB agent who won't even sit at a normal table with his closest advisors, it would not exactly be trivial to drop him.

I read an article, how Putin never sleeps at the same place twice. He selects a random house for the night, then kick out the people living inside. So nobody ever knows where he spends the day.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 days ago

There is always someone who knows. Even if that rumor was true, he would obviousl never be there alone.

I'm amazed no one has pointed out the possibility that this was staged by Putin himself as a prerequisite to enforce greater surveillance, military and police presence, claim opposition and Ukraine to be terrorists, and so on. This is, besides a malfunction, much more likely than a failed assassination attempt that went this badly, doesn't have a suspect, and got reported on.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 6 days ago

bro why do you think he started the war

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (2 children)

We can rule out a Ukrainian assassination attempt. They have a pretty good track record of success.

We'll know if it's a false flag if Putin immediately freaks out and increases his personal security or suddenly relocates to one of his bitch bunkers.

First of all, this does not look like an assassination attempt. The engine caught fire. A Russian-made limousine. Might be (politically motivated) vandalism, might be "a Tesla".

There's no freedom of speech or poltical expression in Russia anymore. The state controls the media and the media control the narrative. This is the totalitarian approach. The disadvantage for Putin/Kreml is that they really don't know anymore how deep the resentment against them goes. And neither do we.

Of course the explanation will be that Ukrainian sympathisers did it, but I think it's easy to see that a Russian does not even have to be a Ukrainian sympathiser to want Putin dead.

Ah so just like the US then

Who ever downvoted you needs to visit the whitehouse.gov and other government sites and social media accounts. They are like North Korean level propaganda now.

What kind of low rent dictator has to park on the street?

"However, media reports have confirmed that no one was injured."

Try harder.
