What is Lucida?

Soulseek is great apart from the arseholes who lock their entire collections wanting people to basically pay them for access in the form of bandcamp vouchers or buying them specific releases to "trade" for what you want. Fuck those people.

I also recommend YAMS and Squid btw, both are pretty similar to Lucida

Oh cool, thanks for the link. I'll be interested to try it but I'm skeptical it will be "high quality" until I try. Pretty sure SoundCloud only streams at 128 doesn't it?

Either way I'll give it a try and get a spectral analyser on some files!

it's high quality (afaik) if oyu get from Tidal or Deezer (if Deezer works at all, worked before but it's now haing some issues as of late), Lucidia also is a bit unstable as of late but when it works it's a nice little site

The quality depends on the service and release, the "highest quality" can vary from 192 kHz 24-bit FLAC to 320 kbps MP3. Also, Qobuz releases seem to be mostly FLAC, sometimes 24-bit and above 44 kHz sampling rate. Qobuz lists the quality on the release page too, so you may want to check that out before dling.

That's what I wanna say, 128.

Yeah, I've never run across it before, and there's too many things that use it as a name to run a regular search

Lucida + some telegram bots.

Could you please share the telegram bot handlers? Asking for a friend

SoulSeek. Lucida constantly goes down.

YAMS and Squid are pretty similar alternatives to Lucida

But I like Soulseek as well. I think they're all great solutions.

I mean SLSK has a wider collection of music especially rare stuff, the other one is just a Spotify ripped
