It's not just Canadians. 😉
Boycott US
Overview:
The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.
Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.
America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.
America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

I'm still unsure about stuff made locally but owned by American corporations.
And I unfortunately know about some of the 24% that don't boycott. My sister told me she and her partner "didn't care about politics". They were unfortunately also whining that masks are useless and that truckers were right. But they don't care about politics, apparently.
I still have a problem with entertainment.
My daughter just isnt old enough to understand "You cant watch Netflix because..." but is old enough to make my life a misery because of it.
I don't care about politics!
This is usually a dog-whistle for: my politics are a bit shit, I know that they're bad and I'm worried that if I tell you what I really think you won't talk to me anymore.
This is likely to be the case with your sister and her partner seeing the other stuff you said about masks and the Trucker Traitors.
Sorry my dude. I've had to cut family out of my life for basically the same shit, sucks.
Unfortunately you can't fix stupid, but you can do you. I'm in a similar situation.
Well my bar is anyone making a legitimate effort at keeping their dollars in Canada counts. Reading the labels, looking for alternatives, reviewing subscriptions and travel plans etc. is all good effort that makes a material difference, even if there's often no ideal option or good alternative to a crucial product.
The Trump people in my family seem to be in a wait-and-see type of mood with respect to current events. Probably best for their sanity to stay ignorant than face the cognitive dissonance, though I will occasionally poke fun (with remarks like "Trump is lowering tax bills of ordinary Americans, since their incomes are going down!").
I'd take it case by case, preference is Canadian owned and operated, but if they employee Canadians to make in Canada (and actually support their Canadian operations instead of raiding them of all value), yeah, I'm OK with it so long at the company/ownership isn't vile, there are Canadian owned and operated companies I won't do business with (book outlet/book depot to name drop one).
Us Americans are also trying to boycott American products. Fuck em. This isn’t new. America’s always been shit.
That must be really difficult with the current tariffs, right?
The orange cunt can’t seem to make up his mind.
I changed my cats food because it was made in murica! Fuck em!
Our family gave it all up. Even the kids chipped in and they're 12 and under. Fuck em. I hope it hurts.
Here in Canada what's frustrating is a lot of our fruit comes from South America but is packaged in the US.
I've been eating a lot of Quebec apples these days.
Everyone is doing it, no worries. They can get isolated in their own bubble of hatred.
I look forward to banding together against the bully in the White House.
