That's a left hand though.

The guy did have an iron hand that looked pretty similar to this one (obviosuly in a right hand variant). It looks like someone found a similar image but didnt check that it was the same prosthetic.

Which makes it all even more impressive

Every time this meme is posted.

Since it was already pointed out that this is a left arm (or mirrored, which would be weird), I want to instead point out that scary fucking screw that looks like this prosthetic is to be screwed in to the stump.

probably safe to assume they'd figured out how to put a 'base' on his arm and then attach this to it when necessary (or another implement), and not screw this massive screw directly into him lol

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago

Yeah, probably. Still looks huge and painful.

I think the screw was to manipulate the fingers. It could grasp things after all.

That's an image of a left arm...

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Maybe the image is mirrored?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago

Probably, thought it was funny though.

Well now I want the context of that poem. Is it James Joyce style? Chaucer? Shakespeare? Su Dongpo?

It's not written by Götz von Berlichingen but by Goethe about Götz von Berlichingen

Mich ergeben!

8 (1889), p. 109

It can be translated as:

Me, surrender! At mercy! With whom do you speak? Am I a robber! Tell your captain that for His Imperial Majesty, I have, as always, due respect. But he, tell him that, he can lick me in the arse!

Is that what inspired mangaka?
