Friday I played Oceans with the deep. It's a bit long but I love the absurd species people come up with and the counter moves you have to evolve to exist in that world.

Thursday... Oh yeah, it was basically Dredge as a board game. I forget the name. It was very good. I came in dead last. No regrets. Well, some regrets. I killed a man and one time I parted my hair on the other side. My friend who went all in on regrets almost won despite the very severe punishment for being the regret leader. She almost had the whole deck. It was good.

Finally finished Star Wars: Unlock! with gf

Somehow the last scenario was a lot easier than the previous two

Not sure yet if I should suggest playing it with friends or just sell it

Been playing one of the Aeon's End Legacy games, at the final nemesis now. It's pretty great, although I feel that compared to the one Pandemic Legacy season we've played, it doesn't achieve the level of harmony between theme and mechanics. There's no explanation of why we get two tries at fights for example

Saboteur at 7 players opened the Library's weekly event. Lots of first timers, so it wasn't the best of showings with regards to interesting sabotage plays.

The group then split, Flamecraft (is it? With the dragons and the cafés? Whatever it was, I had played it before and didn't care for it, so went to the other table) and Cockroach Pokérmon, which could have done with more players really.

Their monthly event, more kid and family friendly, was devoid of activity, it being a sunny enough Easter Sunday I guess. Two player King of Tokyo probably proves why there's now a Duel version, and a couple of games of Hero Realms reminded me that I really ought to get a move on with moving it on.

Not a terrible week for the socialising side of things, but here's hoping for a better week when it comes to the games themselves.

This Saturday we had some friends from the board game group over, and I showed them my copy of Kelp, because it's just a 2p game, I watched them play from the shark side, as I have no poker face for this game. They really enjoyed it!

After that we played Coffee Rush, it's a great game to play with 4 people because you get lots of coffee orders and the game goes really fast! it was a blast.

We were on holiday last week and mostly played scout, which is really nice with multiple people. We also purchased buttons and bugs (gloomhaven) and played a 2 player variant. It works quite well if you respawn all monsters, but it is also insanely tight, most of the time we win in the last turn and need some good luck.
