It's like Conservatives don't want to risk even seeing the results of the project, because it confirms their worst fears: that investing in the poor has an outsized benefit on all of society compared to anything you can give to people who are already rich.

Yet this scum wins a majority.

The Cons, the oil lobby and their American media allies that own most Canadian media spent enormous money ripping the provincial Liberals to shreds while they were in power, similar to what they did to the Liberals in Alberta during the National Energy Program to create a lasting hatred and distrust that will weaken the Liberals here for decades. They're weak enough to not have a viable path to victory provinicially, but strong enough to leave the NDP without a viable path to victory as well, and so of course the Cons ran away with it again. The Liberals only managed to squeak out a minority Federally because of insane levels of strategic voting by BQ/NDP voters who were willing to throw the BQ and NDP under the bus to prevent Pollievre from opening the door to Trumpism. And that door has still not been shut as firmly as I would like.

This is such a dumb way to tank your own popularity.

What a blatantly stupid move from Ford.

I'm not sure it'll hurt Ford's popularity with his base. After all the crap about the Greenbelt corruption, he still got a majority.
