That went well then... kinda like the problem never really went away.

Clearly they invaded California for their strategic reserve of almonds. I wish that was more of a joke than it is given how many places we've actually messed with for the sake of some random luxury produce.

Chiquita Banana says hi.

Watch out Mexico. These avocado toasts don't grow on trees, ya'know.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Now avocados are controlled by the cartels. 🙄

I'm over the world police bs. Cause just like at home, the police do nothing good.

Nope, same old same old.

Look at a map of LA

Now look at a map of the grimes oil field.

Sadly WW3 is scheduled for right after so hopefully some humans are left to greet the Vulcans

Makes me wonder if April 5, 2063 is still the date of the fly by. Could we be off by a year?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

And a few miles south.

I will admit that I did not have "start of the American civil war" On my 2025 Bingo card. I thought it was a couple more years away.

I did. Fascism moves fast.

After Jan I said we'd have national guard in progressive strongholds within 2 years. Didn't think they'd go only months later. Oh well, down seems to be the only way to get to up from our current predicament and the fast we hit bottom and more folks experience pain, the sooner we can grow collective values that bind us together again and take the reins back. Hope the fog clears again in my lifetime.

I didn't and still don't because I don't believe America has it in itself to pick one of the good timelines.

Technically it started as late as 2020, and as early as 2014.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

I maintain it never fully stopped and Sherman didn’t burn far enough.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

I based my prediction on the official start of the civil war, would be when the military got involved.

It's also a matter of forced perspective. The armed dude is aiming far away from the woman.

They say history doesn't exactly repeat itself, but it damn sure seems to rhyme a hell of a lot of the time.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

there's beaucoups of oil in the Usa

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 week ago (1 children)

In LA even. Don't remember where I read it, but did read an article that there are tones of oil dereks in LA, but they all have a facade on the outside to make it look like a normal building.

The La Brea tar pits are a type of hydrocarbon after all.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago

Yeah California and Texas actually have the oil industry behind all their bullshit posturing about economic ideologies.

In 2077 they voted America the worst place to live in America

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 week ago

Congratulations, masked, armed coward; you are now officially a state-sponsored terrorist.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 week ago

Better than invading other countries, I guess. Keeps the shitfuckery local.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

And why did America invade America? Because America intends to get rich off of America's oil.

Los angeles is literally sitting atop one of the biggest oil fields in the country.

It's about time somebody did something about those dammed Americans who ruined America
