Democrats boycotted the hearing -- with some walking out once it began.

The Senate Judiciary subcommittee held a hearing Wednesday digging into the cognitive abilities of Joe Biden and claims of whether his aides helped what they say was a cover up of his alleged mental decline -- claims the former president and many on his staff have denied.

The probe didn't uncover any new information on the former president -- with Democratic members of the subcommittee boycotting the hearing.

Democratic senators on the committee walked out of the hearing shortly after it began, with Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin blasting the panel for even holding the hearing, while he says a number of timely investigations should be going on related to President Donald Trump's current actions.

"So far this year, the Republican majority on this committee has not held a single oversight hearing, despite numerous critical challenges facing the nation that are under our jurisdiction," Durbin said.

Geez, can you stop talking about your ex for five minutes and focus on moving forward with your life?

Under an Imperial Presidency, the Congress has relatively little to do. Since everyone in the House just slaps the "Okay!" button when Trump demands more authority - and since the Presidency already has so much authority pre-allocated to it by Congress that there's relatively little left to surrender - all the little Congresscritters can do is hold investigative hearings in a vain attempt to get media attention.

Chasing the ghost of Joe Biden is what the Alex Jones tier of the right-wing entertainment sphere want. It gives them something to fill 4-5 hours a day of talk radio whining about. And it gives back bencher Congresscritters and opportunity to go on these shows and get some national attention.

For the wanna-be celebrities in the GOP, this is one way they know how to get attention.

"Quick! Make something up." - Republicans.

Shall we investigate Trump's cognitive abilities?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

I think he started using oxygen recently... Has anyone else noticed the subtle lines?

Like... Come on, GOP, that's not going to fix the dementia. You all must be pretty desperate at this stage.

If Benghazi taught us anything, it's time for 45 more hearings!

Small Government. Efficient Spending.

This is by far the dumbest season of America.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Yeah, I want to stop watching, but if I do that I may get abducted by people in balaclava masks and shoved into an unmarked van without seeing it coming.

Yes, but they will be pumping the fact that there was a hearing for quite some time.

The vindictive little shits cannot get over, nor will they ever get over, the fact that there was the House Select Committee on January 6, looking into the REAL CRIMES of the conservatives that carried out the terrorism and those complicit within the Republican Party.

Even if almost nothing came from it - they were losing their minds all during the proceedings.

Same thing goes for looking into donvict's Russia ties.

So now we are going to have this kind of nonsense. I suspect they'll get back to Hunter and the hard drive, oops, I mean "the laptop", again.

Hey, while we're spending time rehashing presidencies - how about we have a full blown Senate investigation into Ronnie's cognitive decline? Surely we can find some evidence there.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 week ago

I'm more surprised they didn't make something up.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

Remember, every accusation is a confession with these fuckwits.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What is this even for? Is there some sort of framework a negative finding would lay that allows them to overturn policy? Trumps doing it already anyway.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

"Owning the libs"

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago

Right, but they might want to see if they can feature Hunter's dong again? I seriously think Marj has a thing for him...

Maybe talk some more about the hard drive, oops, I mean, "Hunter's laptop"?

Hey, do any of these assholes have any interest in releasing the fucking Epstein files? I thought the magas wanted that? What happened?

~~Accusation~~ Admission

What's the point of this? Biden is both out of office now forever, and he's also literally dying of cancer.

Edit: It must be a deflection so people stop talking about Trump's obvious dementia, right?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

How about we focus on the guy thats in the office now, who shows serious mental decline? Ever think of that...

This is the new fascist America. I'm surprised they didn't just make shit up.
