There’s a ViolentMonkey script that uses Lucidia and provides you a download button next to songs in the Spotify web players.
Soggfy intercepts the audio to rip an ogg or mp3 file. You need premium for 320 but other than that should do the job.

on linux it is easy to record the audio that is sent to the sound device. lots of programs do it.
onthespot doesn't look too bad if you want to download from spotify directly.
I just download from youtube though. It's very easy with yt-dlp.
It's not on youtube, which is the issue. SpotDL uses youtube, but it gets the wrong song. I did find a site that did it though, Spotidown, which someone else suggested.
this chinese site had some music i couldn't find elsewhere, might work for you too 22a5.com
I use one called Spotidown. You just copy the link and download the MP3. I've downloaded a few thousand songs with it and haven't noticed your issue.

The "stream what you hear" app can record audio from anything that is playing. (on Windows.)
