  1. Keep it civil. We're all people here. Be respectful to one another.

  2. No sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia or any other flavor of bigotry. I should not need to explain this one.

I see the epidemic of idiots believing bullshit stories is a Lemmy problem as well as a reddit problem.

I dunno, I can see this happening based on people I’ve met in my own life. Bullshit is not a synonym for a highly probable lie.

That's some chaotic good fae magic happening.

Literally stole the name, but only because you wanted it gone XD

Dude went dumpster diving for a name. It's not theft if they're throwing it away. One woman's trash is another man's treasure.

Wonder if it's the same Fae I accidentally gave away my attention to.

And then all the pharmacists clapped

I see it more like this:

Stealing someone's name, even a deadname? Is your pharmacist Yubaba from Spirited Away?

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 day ago (1 children)

When your pharmacist is even more of a fairy than you are, LOL!

Is it cool to say that? I always thought that was a pejorative term.

I was a little nervous to make that joke, not gonna lie, but I gambled that folks would realize I was just punning about fae stealing a feminine person's name and not trying to be mean.

I got it :) made me smile.

Got a chuckle out of my. IMO good comedy is very much about intent. You can say something offensive and legitimately funny, that's comedy. You can also say something extremely offensive/racist and actually mean it though the delivery may be kinda funny. Not comedy.

Context.

You talkin about the magic and whimsy of someone?

Or you trying to belittle them for not being toxicly masculine enough?

Context.

I really hope this is true. Love it for both of them if it is

Extra lols if he took their last name too

This would be a remarkable cover for straight up identity theft.

I suddenly had the scene flash through my head: OP stands in a dimly lit and smoky cantina holding a gun pointed someone sitting at a table and says, "You stole my identity!". Antonio Banderas setting at the table with his feet up, drops his feet to the ground and leaves forward so that his face comes into the light and he says intensely, "It was not theft! I only became the you that you could not be!".
OP says, "That's unfortunate because that me is dead.", and pulls the trigger.

I don't know why it has to be Antonio Banderas, but it does.

Also, as bad as the idea is, it's still 10 times better than the premise behind Face Off.
