@Cowbee The quote is commonly attributed to Jefferson in English speaking countries and to Brecht in German speaking countries but while it captures the essence of what they said and wrote the source of the exact quote is actually unknown.
One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.

it's an easy mistake to make since young jefferson was so full of revolutionary (for the time) fervor; but he DEFINITELY became much more status quo as he aged.
