As a former Travis county (Austin) resident for 20+ years, I hate these people. They whine and complain about how progressive Austin is for years but the moment they need anything, they are the first in line with their hand out and throwing a tantrum.
Yup, as much as this is going to hurt America for the next 100 years, it needed to happen to wake people up I think.
The damage caused in the first months of this presidency will be staggering and generational.
These people are just gonna die and only the fittest (most loyal to the party) with enough hatred and the resources to take care of themselves will remain. The leopards will not heal your country.
You think these people are going to wake up? At this point they are probably still saying that it is okay to suffer "God's wrath" if it is to own the libs. Some idiot on the news a few weeks back was joyful that his wife had been deported and was praising Taco for "what must be done".
These people live in a bubble, and the only road forward as a net benefit to society is to apply guillotines before their social darwinism takes us down with them.
You're right. Selfish pieces of shit don't magically wake up and want world peace. They just get more desperate and dangerous with trying to get their bag at everyone else's expense.

The Republicans destroyed half the world's wealth in 2008 and spiked unemployment over 10% after starting a very unpopular bullshit war. They were only out of power for 2 years.

Nobody ever "wakes up" because none of this ever endures in the public consciousness. We're doing a repeat of Katrina, of the Haitian Earthquake, of the Kentucky flooding, of the Ashville NC flooding, of the Flint Water Crisis, of the California fires, of the Minnesota bridge collapse, of fucking 9/11.
The lesson isn't "let's come together". It is always "it's get even with people we hate and maybe siphon off money from the government spigot while we're at it".
It's always and forever about shaming people and then getting that bag.

They love to claim they are more charitable but it's all church tithing which isn't a selfless act and is a terrible number because only 10% of churchgoers tithe and it's almost all affluent, well educated people so the charitable nature is not even coming from people like this Karen. She's more likely to lie about tithing than not.
