A few speakers linked this effort to the fallout over the Greenbelt scandal. That is - keeping people pressure on the government can result in change of direction. Ford's got 3 more years so we'll likely have to repeat these sort of protests. Thousands of angry people from all around Ontario make PC MPPs nervous and they push Ford to act. If you care about this and can show up, you should do it during the next such event. The scale generates news coverage and private conversations that reach MPPs' eyes and ears. It was my first but probably won't be my last.
