Yea my younger brother had that when he was little. It was a 1990s reskin of the original.

This thing looks an awful lot like the cartridge robot from that episode of Futurama, where Bender got a wooden body. I wonder if this was the inspiration: https://theinfosphere.org/Cartridge_Unit

Wow! nice catch!

I did a quick search and found other cartridge-robots, but they don't look as similar as this one
