I'm still immersed in the world of TotK, squeezing in gaming sessions whenever I find a spare moment. Surprisingly, despite investing a considerable amount of time, I'm "only" 40 hours into the game.

Deaths Door for me! Almost halfway through. Finished Tunic a few weeks ago and this has been a good follow-up to that
Great couple of games. Both are on my list, would like to play them soon.
How did you like them both?
Really good. I could barely put tunic down at some points.
Prepare to die a lot in both.
More TotK for me, with a high level of avoiding the main questline.
a high level of avoiding the main questline
65 hours in and I'm the same 😆
Since I finished TotK last week (got 100 hours out of the game), I decided to take a break from it for a while and instead focus on my switch backlog.
I'm about to finish a game called In Other Waters. What I initially thought would be just a chill exploration game became a really immersive narrative experience with turn of events which really caught me off guard. I'm definitely interested in more games from the developer, I heard great things about their subsequent game Citizen Sleeper.
Other than that, I started playing Blaster Master Zero 2. I played the first one last year and really enjoyed my time with it, and the sequel so far seems to be as good as the first one.
Outside of Nintendo ecosystem, I'll also probably boot up PS5 for a few hours and try to get more trophies out of Unravel 2.
Unsighted! I saw it on the hidden gems section of the e-shop yesterday.
I'm waiting until my wife beats BotW before diving into TotK
Just checked out Unsighted, looks pretty good, went to add it to my wishlist and it was already there 😀 I don't even remember when I added it. How are you enjoying it?
If you are playing BOTW too, I would suggest not jumping in TotK right away, it can cause burn out, but if you weren't playing that should be fine.
Slowly collecting all the rare crops in Story of Seasons AWL. I wish I started earlier cause they make good money.
I didn't even know there is anything like rare crop in Story of Seasons.
How are you enjoying the game?
Yeah there's a ton it's just really tedious if you want a lot unless you start early and use the seed maker. I'm still addicted to the game tho especially since my son is now a teenager and picking his career
Ah, okay. Got it. Thanks! Though I am not sure if you are talking about your actual son, or in-game one. 😀
I think I've decided to place Diablo 4 and TotK on the back burner and get back to the Xenoblade 3 DLC. I didn't get far in because of TotK (which I have a lot left to play as well) so it'll be nice to focus on that for a bit.
I thought the boss of the seventh Palace would be the final boss of the base game in Persona 5 before getting to the extra content. I was wrong. It took me until last night to actually get to the real final boss of the base game (and I luckily beat it on the first try... The mini-boss gauntlet before it was harder than the boss itself, lol). So only now did I actually start the extra semester in Royal. That said, I ordered Tears of the Kingdom this morning and I'll probably get to that sometime this week or next, finally. Excited to start playing it after seeing so much about how it actually lives up to its hype.
Congratulations on beating the main game! Now you have until you recieve the copy of TotK to finish the Royal content!
What did you decide about P5 Tactica? Going to give it a try, or skip it?
I'm moving four hours across the country but I've been playing paper Mario 64 again on nso and having a blast. Basically killing time waiting for pikmin 4 !
Road Trip! Have fun!
I plan to continue playing original Metroid prime and start to play Super Mario Galaxy again.
Tears. I play games for a long time, so it’ll be another couple months with it.
Same here. Finished Xenoblade Chronicles in 6+ months. Though, when the game takes over a month or so, I usually add some smaller games to mix.
How far along are you? and how are you liking it?
I am also playing zelda, but been jumping back and forth between it and Pokemon snap 64
How are you enjoying both games? And how far along are you in Zelda?
Also, if you care about it, someone recently created a community for sharing "snaps" from Pokemon Snap. https://lemmy.world/c/[email protected] (Making a relative link doesn't seem to be working at my end for some reason, so just shared the direct link)
I've taken a step back from gaming this week. It was a busy one.
Still, I'm making pretty good progress on totk. Great game.
I got a 4070 for my birthday. So I tore my whole PC apart to dust out every nook and cranny. It replaced an R9 290. Other specs: 24 GB DDR3, i7-4790K running on Z97, 1 TB NVMe SSD and 8 TB HDD (I don't mind a loading screen)
I previously had 4 3,000 RPM server fans keeping it cool because I was running dual R9 290s in the thing air cooled. When you have two 94° cards, there's a ton of hot air coming from the thing. It'll heat a room quite effectively.
I'm down to a single 140mm 700 RPM fan in back and a single 120mm 800-2000 RPM fan in front. It's gone from being as loud as my vacuum cleaner to near silent. And in testing, my GPU never hits 70°. My 290 ran 85-90 playing Wind Waker with Hypatia's HD texture pack. My 4070 doesn't even get to 50° after an hour of play. And my intake fan doesn't even have to ramp up. It's so nice having a quiet PC again.
It's gonna be pushing 100°F outside this weekend so I'll be staying inside and hiding from the weather. Maybe I'll mow on Monday morning since it's supposed to be a lot cooler. Need to replace my busted garbage disposal. But when I'm not doing those things, I'll probably STILL be playing Tears. I think I'm up to 70 hours.
Wow, I didn't understood most of what you said, except, you got a better GPU and what was quite a load for previous one, is nothing for this one. And your PC is quieter because of that.
That sounds great. Congratulations on your new gear. Are you planning to play something to test the limits? Something that will make it scream too?
Good luck hiding from the weather and playing more TotK!
I am still playing Tears of the Kingdom when I have time to play and I don't foresee that changing anytime soon
ToTK, spending a lot of time not doing the main quests.
Finishing up FFVII Remake Intermission before I start FFXVI as the other game I'm juggling in the not-much free time I have had lately.
Found this hidden gem (for me at least) "Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon" really like this game.
Have been thinking to try out other Bayonetta's too, even thought they are different style of games.
Still on TOTK. Finished all regional quests, got about 54 shines. All skybtowers are unlocked. About 20% of the underworld is unlocked and sky islands I'd say like 50%? Maybe more. Maybe 75% just doing side quests atm.
I've paused ToTK for a week or so (35 hours in, only 1 regional questo done lmao) but I may resume this weekend. I need to catch up or I'll never finish that game at this rate, wish I had more time...
Other than that, eventually I want to give MH: Rise another try. Bought it on switch when it came out, played it for a week then dropped.
If this anhedonia streak continues, I'll probably dick around for an hour or two on Guild Wars 2, drop an hour into Vermintide II, maybe load up an emulator and play a couple of SNES games, then ultimately end up listening to a podcast while I play spider solitaire.
I am concentrating on tackling my backlog! This week I’m prioritizing Varriable Barricade, Amnesia memories and maybe a few routes from The crimson flower
I'm 75% of the way through Advance Wars 2 (from the Advance Wars Reboot-Camp remake). I normally get ~3 levels done per play session, but the last stage of Yellow Comet was more difficult than usual. I'm thinking these last stages are just harder than all the earlier stages.
I might try a hard-mode run, or maybe I start playing competitive (erm... casual-level competitive. I dunno about beating the grandmasters in this game but I kinda wanna see where people are).
I was very hyped for Advanced Wars, but then they delayed it, and then released it couple of weeks before Zelda, so haven't gotten a chance to play it yet. Glad to see people are enjoying it.
Competitive can be interesting, though I doubt I would be hold off against the pros.
I've been playing mostly Tears of the Kingdom and Fallout 76
How are you liking Fallout 76? I am a big Fallout fan, but after the abysmal 76 launch, and all the memes, I have stayed away from it.
Have the improved the game? And how's the gameplay now?
