Damn bro, where do you live? What are those start times?!
Las Vegas Raiders
Yeah late games are rough as shit for us in EU
Not OP but in the same time zone.
Ireland, UK, Portugal, parts of West Africa.
Yeah I'm one hour on top of that. So if I get up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet I often watch MNF last quarter
Welcome to the world of being a Raiders fan outside of the US! SNF/MNF/TNF are out of the question live for most of us. Thankfully most of our games have been 9pm this season. Perfect time for a game.
I think he needs to end the season with a winning record.
There’s only one thing left to do. Win the whole damn thing
Great movie
I don’t think he has to win any of them, but it’s more how the team plays and how he does. Does he keep making mistakes like the challenge flag on JJ’s fumble? Does the team bounce back after a loss? Do they keep playing as a team opposed to 22 individuals on the field like under McCuntyFuck? He’s already got the heart of the team/fans and he righted the near sinking ship. Unless the wheels come off, I think he’s got it.
Why are you getting downvoted when you have a point? I want the Raiders to still win. But the team spirit is more important to me. It always saddened me that the Raiders played with no spirit under JMD.
Yep... Dan Campbell won, what, three games his first season with the Lions? But they played with heart. They played hard.
Pretty much this. But I’d add that if they go 1-1 against the Chiefs, he’s got it.
Need to beat the Chargers too. Can't go 0-2 vs them scrubs this year
Agreed.
3 looks like a good #
5 to 6 wins. Remind me in 9 weeks.
All
If he’s better than or at .500 I think he gets serious consideration. I think this time around, playoffs is a shoe in. Davis regrets not hiring Bisacchia. His wallet sure does.
Exactly!
He has to beat the San Diego Rams. If he keeps the Queefs games close, or wins one, and beats indy or Vikings, I think he’s got a good shot at getting the job.
You mean the St Louis Chargers?
Are you GMT u/dc4_checkdown ?
Well, he MUST defeat Bye, a loss to them would be devastating
McD would have lost 16-13.
Historically they’ve had our number. If AP wants to win me over, he gotta win against them first.
Bisaccia went to playoffs and never had a chance of keeping the job.
Mark said himself the mistake he made in the past was to already decide on the new HC before the process starts- it happened with Gruden and McD. This time hopefully he takes a long hard look at all of his options
He’s going to get it going into the bye week after he knocks off Miami and KC 😉
3/6 and he should be good for at least a new season. My question is if he’s out who’s up next?
I am of the opinion that Mark giving him the title mid season is stupid, let him play it out, remember that he’s well loved and how the team played for him, and keep the record in consideration. If someone like Ben Johnson is interested, we should be open to that possibility rather than lock ourselves into AP this early.
We need to stop being reactive and get a 5-10 year plan I’m sick of being terrible.
4
Chargers game is critical. We will probably be 6-7 going into that game 7-7 is worlds different than 6-8 after the chargers game.
there are only 7 more Raiders games this season? 😟
You win some and you lose some but man its been a while since we saw this team put any effort. Ever since AP took over as a head coach, this team has done nothing but become enthusiastic and committed to putting effort for a full game. Honestly, as long as they play hard and put the effort in the entire game. I say bring AP back.
Needs to win the last two games forsure. So besides that if he can win two more out of the Chiefs x2, chargers, dolphins, vikings, then I believe he will get the HC role.
But say he only wins two more games but stays competitive vs Chiefs and dolphins, and maybe covers the spread in the others while losing, he has a good shot.
Win at least one game against the Chiefs and I would be happy.
AP doesn't have to win X number of games IMO. What AP needs to do is, be able to walk into Mark Davis' office after the season and be able to express his vision. His off-season plan, what he wants personnel-wise, who will fill his staff.
Winning 3-4 of the remaining games probably does it. But it also needs to be seen how he handles things like clock management, challenges, and penalty acceptance/decline.
This is our new daily thread? How about we let the season play out and see if he brings a coherent plan and vision to ownership.
Enjoy the season first guys!
McDaniels would have found a way to lose week 13
Just the Chiefs. Fuck them lol.
The raiders have the talent to beat every team here and KC at least once.
I think we lose to the dolphins, Vikings and split with the chiefs. Win the rest of the games through
If we get 4 or 5 wins. He’s hired. Still have to do the interview process but Mark won’t make the same mistake twice. AP, in my opinion, is the guy. Our players responded. Our fan base responded. Marks wallet is about to get fatter.
5; W, L, W, W, L, W, W…and into the playoffs
Dolphins and then KC twice? Geez
If we can get a win vs the chefs, AP will have a good chance of staying.
I'd like to split each divisional series for the season at the least. So if he can beat the Chiefs once, beat the Chargers, and be competitive in every other game, I would be all for it.
I honestly believe he already won the job.
I think Mark Davis is bought in. Gives him at least another year with Champ Kelly as the GM. See how successful they are in the that draft.
