Conclave (2024). Don't watch too many movies these days, made an exception for this one because it was recommended by a few friends, and it didn't disappoint. The acting is what makes it stand out, not necessarily the plot (basically a bunch of Cardinals squabbling about who is to be the new pope, with much infighting and backstabbing).

Because it's trolls more often than not.

Yes, but if a phone isn't on AT&Ts whitelist you can't even get a data connection. It's bs for sure (the phone can use the same bands), but it means you can't register it with AT&T, and I'm not going back on anything like sprint.

Does depend on your carrier though. AT&T is pretty much off the table, it's not whitelisted.

Yep, and this is my favorite: https://youtu.be/ESJINXeBjhc

Probably a little too much credit. He's very much into pronatalism, just only for the right people (seriously, listen to some of the stuff he says and you'll quickly get the point that he's basically preeching eugenics).

I think they mean that no matter how you dice it, you're gonna have toads on your hands.

I mean, for NC it's the Durham/Raleigh suburbs plus Duke University, so plenty of out of staters (seriously, just go to Duke gardens on a weekend, it's pretty amazing how many languages are spoken). Which would probably explain a lot of it.

Oh, I understand it was for future plans, but it would probably be much easier to force people to phase in diesel-electric hybrids, and eventually force those to go fully electric (that is generally the idea of the hybrids, the battery tech kinda sucks for long haul right now, but in the future it won't and you could retrofit the battery where the generator is now while slightly lowering emissions now and offsetting costs for the future). I don't disagree with the stupidity of the boat stuff though, that needed to have been fixed years ago. That being said, some of the stuff regarding trucking was generally considered in the trucking community pretty close to impossible, so I'm not surprised it went on the chopping block.

I mean, it's not truly surprising. Electric trucks are not ready for prime time, either from range, infrastructure for them, or cost. And while Cummins actually does have plans for hydrogen-ification of their engines over the next few years, I have my doubts those will actually be all that effective (they are essentially just changing the heads to burn hydrogen, get the same general mpg which isn't great), which mostly just leaves you with hybrids, like Edison is testing. So long as they aren't abandoning Carb, it should be OK for now, although I have a bad feeling that Trump might try to mess with that too.

Tldr: The mayor waived the requirements for new homes to be all electric (no propane/natural gas/oil, a pretty obvious no Brainerd in a flammable area) and require solar to be installed when built. Very stupid in my opinion.

NC and TN have some. But we often is.

Found growing in a pot with a hibiscus plant, not entirely sure how it got there but the recent excessive rainfall has made it fruit.

Went on the Blue Ridge Parkway this week, and had a blast! The Parkway feels amazing with the top down, and all of the curves make for some interesting driving.
