I really do wish that more packages on Linux had installation paths clearly noted in a readme.

I've been using Linux daily for over a year now and I still have a hard time tracking down config files and install paths. Its just not one of those tasks I do regularly so I always forget best practices when trying to find stuff. The CLI always gives me the best results but getting the commands right can be tedious.

I've started saving useful commands in a note on my desktop.

Good deals that deliver fun.

If that's what you're buying in a single month, I'd hate to know how much you're buying in a year.

The sad truth is that you're spending this money but you're never going to have the time to enjoy more than the upper crust of what all these games have to offer. You might dive deep on a handful of them, but you're just lighting the rest of that money on fire and likely condemning a lot of good games to the digital equivalent of rotting on a shelf.

Unless this is some roundabout way of supporting dev teams this screams unfettered consumerism to me.

I'm not trying to offend you I promise. This is just very odd to me. I don't even think I've played 200 games in my life and I've spent a fuckload of time immersed in games of all kinds for ~30 years.

I doubt a kid with tremors would be unable to get an exception made for them. I have tremors and in the mid 2000s my teachers were offering me test taking options like computers and other methods.

I always refused because I was stubborn.

Additional electric damage on account of their shit tier power grid.

Sure, until you inevitably hit a pile of immersion breaking jank.

All I can think of when I hear "Master's Apprentices" is Opeth.

Then you'd be on trial for crimes against humanity.

It sure is enabling my right to think you're enabling them. Unless you leave the table once you know who you're sitting with, I'm judging you. Hard.

I think you're misunderstanding the concept of priority.

[–] AstralPath 11 points 4 days ago (3 children)

Sounds to me like you're not considering that they likely have a massive list of priorities to address and a flashlight attachment is simply not even close to the top of the list.

Nothing exists in a vacuum.

Ouroboros, the new standard.

Training them should be your ultimate motivation.

Hey everyone,

Not sure I've seen this particular technique before.

Here's a tutorial on how you can use REAPER's stock gate plugin to generate MIDI that you can send to an EQ to modulate frequency bands to eliminate bleed in your drum tracks. This is super powerful on toms.

Inspired by the FabFilter Pro-MB bleed reduction tricks.

This is an all instruments/vocals scratch-made cover of the track that got me into Black Metal. A truly iconic masterpiece of atmosphere. I always wanted to do a cover of this track. I'm very happy with how this turned out.

Thanks to Yabridge (https://github.com/robbert-vdh/yabridge) I was able to record, mix, and master this entirely on a Linux system (Nobara) running Reaper with stock Reaper plugins, many FOSS plugins, and a couple choice paid plugins; namely GGD Invasion and Sketch Cassette II. Everything else was free or open source by choice.

Hey folks, I'm hoping to find French Youtube channels to subscribe to based on the topics above. I don't get to engage much with French and I'm trying to maintain my ability to understand it and speak it. I figured if I inject some french content into my Youtube algorithm that would be very helpful.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. :)

...in what proximity would you have to be to the sun and how fast would you have to be spinning (like a rotisserie chicken) so that your light side didn't burn and your dark side didn't freeze; rotating just enough to keep a relatively stable temperature?

Absolutely absurd, I know but this question somehow popped into my head and won't leave. 😆🐔🔥🧊

[EDIT] Inb4 more people try to suggest that I'm mourning the loss of this scumbag capitalist fuck: No, I'm not sad he's dead. No, I don't think corporate murder is acceptable and no, I would not ever rat to police if I knew the shooter and yes, I believe the punishment fits the crimes he's committed against untold thousands of people. THAT SAID...

I'm not down with vigilante murder or anything because it seems like the slipperiest of slopes toward chaos, but what other option is there in a situation where someone seeks to make an impact in this way? You can't just beat up evil CEOs and let them go back to work. It would be naïve to expect them to change their ways when faced with consequences for their actions and then promptly let go. It just seems like the chances that it emboldens their penchant for exploitative behaviour and disdain for people in need are too high.

We're just born into and strapped to this capitalist ride and expected to sit quiet and make these leeches their billions. How else can this cancerous greed possibly be dealt with? Is vigilante murder the only effective option? Honest questions. I'm terribly conflicted and I'm genuinely curious what more reasonable and intelligent minds than mine think about this because I can't think of an alternative to murder in this case.

Ideally, we wouldn't have to resort to vigilante killings to level the playing field but I 100% understand that we don't live in a society where the rich will ever give a fuck about the rest of us or would ever sacrifice their power over us in the name of goodwill.

Real therapy cat vibes.
