Yeah, I didn't mean this bill would pass but... the sentiment makes it more dangerous for some people I care about.

The politicians push this shit because they think they have the support of the people, at least in the form of votes.

I'm not so worried about the government. Not much most of us can do if the military turns against the people. I'm worried about bigoted neighbors feeling empowered.

That seemed to be in the past, at least the distant past, the way things worked.

A smith took his son to his "office." The kid watched. Then the kid got older, and curious. The father imparted his wisdom onto his child, and eventually, the son took over for his old man.

Hence, a family line in one business.

Or to look at another way, why people still carry the surname of Smith, Miller, Baker, etc.

Pffft. I write everything as a one liner in notepad and just copy and paste into a compiler.

Note: Sarcasm. I'm not a dev, I just script shit for my own convenience at work. I'm the guy the idiots talk to first. After 12 years I'm pretty good at filtering out the bullshit and giving a concise ticket to escalate in the event I don't have permissions to fix something.

I have fixed code before, but its been very rare, and was most certainly a case of the actual dev not seeing the forest due to the trees. It just happened I had the cube next to him and he wanted any other set of eyes, lol. I just happened to have some education in various languages that I opted not to pursue further.

Awesome, thanks. I have listened to those, I think, but I'm pretty sure I was at work at the time, so I was in and out on it.

I'll have to go back and give it a re-listen.

Thanks again.

Grew up in Texas. Moved recently, to another state.

The bible, or lack thereof, isn't the issue in Texas schooling. Nor the countrywide issue of gun violence.

This is clear governmental overreach and defies separation of church and state.

Fuck these clowns. Sideways, with a two foot dildo covered in shark skin. Twice, so they don't forget the lesson.

PS: As an anecdote, up to fourth grade I was enrolled at a christian private school. Parents had money at the time, and they were touted to have the best education. I learned more about the dark, nasty, terrible side of life there than I did any other time in school - and I watched a kid get dragged down the hall by his ear by a former marine for smoking crack in the bathroom when I was in public school. I also would have never learned how to play poker or blackjack in a public school, lol.

Don't forget to spin around three times.

Not that way, widdershins! Widdershins!

My wife practices witchcraft, and I have begun to lightly look into it and attempted a few things.

My experiences, and what others would say is this....

Magic is not a 5th level wizard casting a fireball spell. Magic is subtle. Magic is coincidence that you willed.

You're not gonna hit the jackpot on the lottery, but you might find that you have the money for what you needed during the ritual through, shall we say, happenstance?

Intent is paramount. Will is secondary.

If you want a good primer on "real" magic, I suggest looking into Chaos Magic. Liber Null is a book to start with, and is generally recommended. That being said, it assumes a little bit of the reader, and a general understanding of the concepts is advised before reading.

Of course, it could all be bullshit and, like I said, coincidence. However, as research into quantum physics advances, I'm less and less doubtful of "random" things causing long term effect. That being said, I'm human. I inherently have biases no matter how hard I try not to.

Also: I bounced around their podcast based on subject, can you list any specific episodes they discussed this?

We (The US) don't have the gestapo. Our fascists wear uniforms and badges.

Tell that to the home owner's association.

Please.

Well shit, one of my relatives, and a few friends may be in trouble soon...

It was suppose to be a cautionary tale, not a fucking guide book.

Oh shit, you just made me realize when I get my first pay check I should really invest in a decent UPS. I had to sell my old one before moving state lines to condense space.
