You need a program to calculate Replaygain and update the tags. Then make sure your player settings use the Replaygain during playback. Replaygain just adds a tag and doesn't change the audio in any way.

I use Foobar (because I've used Foobar forever), but I'm sure there are programs dedicated to Replaygain calculations.

everything I read about the new Switch just makes me more confident in my decision to not buy a new Switch.

Maybe I'll just get a Steamdeck and run an emulator.

I was about to ask where these reviews were, so we could dox the agents. These onions are getting pretty tasty.

There is a sliver of hope: The rainforests that currently carpet the tropics may be more resilient to high temperatures than those that existed before the Great Dying.

There is a sliver of hope (/s).

Fixed it for you.

Game of Thrones. I stopped watching when Aquaman raped the blonde.

Then I started reading the books. the rape scene was written slightly different, so...whatever. Then I got to the part where the brother/sister threw the boy out the window. Done. Violence against kids is my line.

If you're in bear country, you want to hang your food high from a tree branch. Not right next to the trunk, bears can climb like squirrels. It's really amazing how fast they can climb a tree.

Also hang toiletries; don't keep toothpaste or anything scented in the tent with you.

This is what passes as front-page news at the Planet. Did they run out of alien fluff pieces?

Why would they do that? Democratic politicians don't want any of those.

The bill itself is unsurprising and uninteresting. What is interesting is the title and description written by the bill's sponsors (Claudia Tenney R-NY, Dan Crenshaw R-TX).

"To deny tax deductions and other Federal funding..."

These congressmen think tax deductions are Federal funding. If they did not think this way, they would have left out the word other in their description.

Nowhere is safe.

Dark Web Interdiction Act of 2025

Here is the text of a bill introduced to Congress (US), ostensibly to combat the trafficking of opioids over "The Dark Web". There's a nice definition of "The Dark Web" at section 4.

I like the part where it says people are using "The Dark Web" both within the United States and "at the international border".

Do these people in Congress actually think like this? Or are they aware they're just being performative?

Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the head of each agency shall require any special Government employee in a sensitive position at the agency on the date of the enactment of this Act to be entered into a random drug testing program in accordance with the Mandatory Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing Programs.

In 50 years, history will speak about ICE the way we speak about the SS now.

“I get it that it makes people feel good to see people yelling,” Slotkin said. “But not one of those words is stopping the actual things that Donald Trump is doing.”

Perhaps it's not working because of people like Slotkin willing to continue the losing strategies of the past.

TJ Day liked riding his bike to and from work at Walgreens. It helped him stay fit and gave him time to wind down in the evening.

He wore a reflective vest, helmet and added lights to the front and back of his bike for safety. He did everything right, said his sister Kelli Day.

Still, TJ was hit by a car on his way home from work on Feb. 18.

Another driver who found him in a snowbank on Lovers Lane near Stryker Way after the hit-and-run. That driver stayed in contact, and later offered to buy TJ a new bike. But in the meantime, supporters of TJ had already raised more than $20,000 to buy him a car.

As of Thursday, March 6, a GoFundMe Kelli organized has raised $23,427, with a goal of $28,000.

TJ has always been apprehensive about driving, but now he’s more nervous of biking, Kelli said. The generosity of his community will help him get a safe and reliable car.
