I'm not sure if there is a word for fundamentalist in the context of economics the way there is for religion. What ever it is that is the answer to:

—— why isn’t this their line?

A fundamentalist needs certain axioms and won't come back to check if they line up with reality. This makes it nessesary for certain things to just be false no matter what.

I've seen a few. They are mostly just anti American (fair enough). They often miss the point that something being anti American doesn't mean they are not their own empire with its own problematic takes.

If you want to do new things but feel a lack of motivation maybe you need to just start. Sometimes motivation comes after action. Take a few baby steps. After a few you will want to see the activity or project though and even polished. Provided you don't have depression or something like it.

Similarly if you really are not enjoying a new hobby you are trying don't be afraid to drop it either.

Shame that guy doesn't make more videos. They are top tier.

Knows how to delegate and track progress with context not just some KPI that looks good.

German seems very common without trying to look. I wouldn't mind some Spanish communities tho.

My previous was 2015 Harley Davidson XG 750. It just had a dip stick like you would on a car.

We deem this acceptable. Be welcome!

Just got a 24 xrs900. I wanted to check the oil, but there was no dip stick? Is there not supposed to be one or is mine missing?

Edit: Just checked the manual and the cap is like that and tells me where the window is. Now I feel a bit silly for not thinking about just reading it. I just sort of blanked when I saw there was no dip stick. Thank you for your quick replies tho :)

Shitting on Steven Segull movies will never not be funny.

Are you buying a fancy Sena helmet or adding some aftermarket stuff to another? What is your gear combo that works and which are the noob traps?

Sometimes I am typing some Ideas. Its nice and all, but I need to make a break for the long post.

But this new paragraph does not have a line break from the one above. I am using old.lemmy.world if it matters.

I really liked Midnight Club back on the PS2. Would be cool to find similar for the Deck.

Any racing games that the community finds good on the Deck? Is it arcadey or realistic in the mechanics?

I recently upgraded my Harley Street 750. That was my first bike and I had it for close to ten years.

I got to say that the XSR is really good. I took some time to understand what the electronic aids to and set them to grandpa riding, but it still has quite a bit. I noticed that I don't have to shift as early. The more aggressive seating feels odd, but I will get used to it. It comes with cruise control so I hope to take a few long distance trips.

Anyway I am off to some good impressions on my second bike. How is everyone else's weekend?

Best part is how some of the threads circle back to having taxes (with extra steps of course)

This is what is wrong with modern society. I take a train downtown and no inner city kid is worshiping the sun. Our leaders no longer cut out the hearts of their enemies as tribute.

So I have been selfhosting my calendar and todo list on a local server for sometime now. I use thuunderbird's tasks on my laptop and jtx board on my phone.

I see that jtx board has a journaling feature. It looks like maybe it is just for notes rather than a place to write self reflections. Is there something similar to this app in self hosting with a mobile and desktop component?

Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove it

Hearing that Civ 7 is going to have Steam Deck support is tempting me.
