Food imported into Canada still has to pass our regulations and inspections. We don't let it slide just because the US government does.

He wants to follow through with these plans to appease his cult but he cannot (at least not militarily) as the blowback would effectively end his regime and possibly the US as a whole.

So his plan has been to topple Canada's economy through economic pressure but that has been backfiring too. Canada may only have a tiny fraction of the population the US has but we do a huge amount of trade with them, have a lot of resources they require, host a lot of their manufacturing, and we hold a lot of their treasury bonds and national debt. There is no way for the US to have a trade war with Canada without walking away with catastrophic losses across numerous industries and a highly devalued US dollar.

We have already seen that, when under real pressure, Trump will fold. Most notably, he's done it with Canada under Carney and with China. So for now these threats are just hot air to appease his base and to act as a distraction while he plunders the country's coffers. But we need to treat him and his threats seriously as we would any other threat to sovereignty because one day these won't be just threats. The US is lead by a senile fascist tyrant whose mental health degrades by the day; he should be treated with extreme caution at all times.

The general populace isn't going to switch to Linux. They're just not.

The path of least resistance is to continue using Win10

Almost never. I usually wake up feeling worse after I nap, so I only really have them if I'm feeling sick or slept poorly the night before.

So afraid of losing that he is given a seat that he has no chance of being defeated in.

That's pathetic.

It's a riding in deep-blue Alberta. Not going to happen.

I've always thought of fat-tire bikes as being the Dodge Ram pickups of the bicycle world. They absolutely have their place and their uses but a lot of people get them because they look cool and "tough".

The amount of fatbikes I see in my city, being ridden on on the road and paved paths, is mindboggling. Even more mindboggling is the incredible road noise coming from their tires as I pass them as their riders struggle to move the damn things without high levels of electric assist. I have also seen several riders fall off their fatbikes as they try to take sharp corners.

There is a place for fatbikes but I don't think a busy urban city is that place.

Their premier is essentially a paid asset of the Heritage Foundation. Her frequent trips down south to visit with neo-nazi officials and influencers says a lot.

The Bloc isn't going anywhere and the NDP will likely gain seats back next election with a fresh leader, especially if they pick a charismatic one.

Affinity Photo is an excellent Photoshop alternative. I switched a while ago and have used it for all of my major projects since.

This is by design. Decades of eroding education and critical thinking have produced a populace that is highly ignorant and extremely easy to manipulate.

There is a reason why attacking education is the first thing any right-wing government does.

A very important thing to remember this election: The Conservatives had a 30-point lead and were set to gain over 200 seats in a sweeping majority victory and they blew it. They blew it and their leader lost his own seat. The fact we even have a Liberal minority at all is incredible.

So while the Conservative party still has a lot of seats, enough Canadians disliked PP and his campaign enough to erode a 30 point lead. PP says he is staying on as party leader but his party would be incredibly foolish to keep him. His campaign cost them a historical election victory and the dude can't even get elected in his own riding.
