Apparently, Koko has been Brainiac's pet on and off in the comics since 1958.

Ah, sorry to hear that. Maybe it's for the best though? From what I've seen, drag is often dealing with people attacking drag's identity as it is. Maybe running a community like would open drag up to too much unnecessary stress?
It's honestly crazy how much I am able to identify with Poison Ivy as a character. And it's not even just her attitude or personality or whatever, even a lot of the little details and backstory that get thrown in match certain things in my life, like being sent to boarding school. And with this episode, another thing I learnt that we share are those aggressive morning shits that go from 0 to 120 in a few seconds and make you run mid conversation. Lmao.
Edit: identifying with characters based on bowel movements aside, I really hope that Lois Lane gets a bigger role this season. I would like to see what these writers could really do with her. Plus they're in Metropolis, come on.
Another edit instead of making a new comment: I hope that Poison Ivy gets a power boost of some sort after how Woodrue basically just steamrolled her. I honestly hope that this isn't the end of Fluoronic Man just yet so that we get a rematch with Ivy fucking him up this time.
I've definitely noticed that most fans in any fandom can't seem to accept or comprehend the fact that not every character needs to be married off and have 2.5 kids and a white picket fence.
I've butted heads over this many times regarding Batman and Catwoman. Sure, they have their always doomed to fail flings with each other occasionally but over all, they're both prime candidates for the kind of characters that are forever alone and it suits them. Even Catwoman, for as much as she uses sex appeal, doesn't strike me as exactly promiscuous and seems to be too much in love with herself and her own solitude / independence for that. Maybe they're not 100% gold star ace or whatever but they both fit the aro side to a tee, at least.
And whenever people are complaining about DC never letting Bruce and Selina do what every other fucking character does, I'm there thankful that DC are staying the course.
Haha I actually mentioned this show in another thread somewhere in Blåhaj and it seems there's at least a couple more like me that lost track and didn't even know this had come back yet. So hopefully at least by the finale, it'll be a little busier in here.
My first ever suspension from Reddit was for an anti religion comment. On Reddit. Then after my 3 days were up, the first thread I saw was on the subject of religion, full of people saying worse thing than I had, and in one of the major subs, not even atheism or anything.
I could definitely buy that they're using AI but personally I always had the impression that they outsource the job and don't make sure everyone is even on the same page or can read English properly.
Because even the stuff that gets [removed by Reddit] seems to be nonsense a lot of the time. A while ago I saw someone make a post saying something like "Hi guys, haven't been active much lately. But I'm back and gonna be posting more." Came back later and it was [removed by Reddit]. So not even that is trustworthy or gives the impression that they actually know wtf they're doing.
RoboCop, the Alien movies, Hellraiser. Honestly a lot of the old Jean Claude van Damme movies are fairly hardcore for kids, looking back. Probably a lot of movies because I was allowed to stay up until whenever on weekends from pretty young.
Yeah, I get the impression that the thing that drives most pro-lifers is religion (or their twisted interpretation thereof), not compassion. And as far as I'm aware, their religion doesn't consider animals to even have souls but rather sees them as tools for humankind to use, provided to us.
Over the last week I've listened to:
- Mastodon - Leviathan
- Def Leppard - Retro Active (select songs)
- Halford - Resurrection
- Butcher Babies - Goliath && Take it Like a Man && Lilith
- Bad Religion - The Gray Race && No Substance
- Portishead - Roseland NYC Live
From what I understand and heard through the grapevine, none of the current members of Village People are even the originals anymore. And their current form wasn't exactly popular to begin with.
Personally, I still haven't started judging users by the instance that they made their profile on. Unless there's right wing instances but in that case I'm guessing they're de-federated from my current experience. I prefer to go by what I'm reading from an individual user or the vibe in a particular community. When you browse instances on the join page, there's no cliff notes on the turf wars between them. So a lot of users are signing up based on the written description.
Not to bootlick the big corporation but I always feel doubt when these estates of long dead people start causing trouble in the name of some sort of justice. The timing of it definitely makes it look more like a ransom demand too.
This makes me think of the Michael Jackson estate causing shit over music in Sonic 3. All they achieved was getting the music in question pulled from any current release of the game and making sure it reaches nobody.
I'm pretty sure the Wonder Woman estate was also full of shit back in the '90s and '00s. And what they achieved was making sure that a large part of Wonder Woman's mythology was excluded from the DCAU, something that basically defined DC for a generation or two.
I'd love to join the side of the Shuster family but considering that this is about copyrights expiring 25 years after an author's death, they've had since 2021 to do this. But they chose now, right as the Superman brand is at its lowest and on the verge of a possible revitalization. Which just makes them look like greedy assholes to me.
