Ahh, or just reading the changelog...

It wasn't 8 hours for me, but the last Nimbus skin of Kodi broke some ratings due their recent API upgrade or something like that... I was doing all kinds of troubleshooting, but the solution was stated in the changelog... Just clean up ratings cache 😃

If you find that you have to go to the post to see the context then the context card isn't doing a good job.

It does a good job showing you the corresponding thread, not the comment I wrote and the one other users are replying to.

What can be changed about it to give you all the context you need without having to navigate away?

Talking specifically about the context box, if it auto scrolled to my last comment, which is already highlighted (showing the reply as well ofc) would be a huge improvement IMHO.

You mentioned "it doesn’t give you said information quickly at once, especially with large threads" could you elaborate?

It is basically because the context box includes the whole thread (if it is something like a megathread it becomes worse), then a bunch of other people's comments and then mine over there, the only quick way to have a glance to it is because it is highlighted, I find this too much and I just ditch it completely and go to the thread... But then I need to unfold it to see my comment 😅

I hope I was clear.

I appreciate the inbox QOL but I still think it needs more work, please don't get me wrong, just sharing my feedback.

It takes me three taps to know about what is going on when somebody replies to me (I know about the context option, but it is not very useful for long threads, I have shared this concern with you previously):

  1. Tapping in the message in question
  2. Tapping the little icon at the very right of the context view to go to the thread
  3. Tapping the "View comment thread" option to unfold my previous comment and realize what I wrote

I don't know if I am dumb that I need to re read what I wrote or I just got used to messaging/mail apps 😅 (or it could be that it has been a while since I used Lemmy and got some replies lol)

Again, the context menu is a handy option, but it doesn't give you said information quickly at once, especially with large threads (and some Lemmy users like to comment, but hey, we all are here for humans -not bots- interaction right?)

Hopefully you can add these enhancements in the roadmap 😬

Thank you for the explanation, I was also wondering why limiting it to 30... It is a fairly easy limit to reach as there are... Well, multiple communities for the same content with different instances lol.

Hopefully when Lemmy decides to implement this (ETA son) the transition for the app would be smooth for you :)

Not on my guard.

It doesn't, my favorite apps for Lemmy at the moment:

  1. Summit
  2. Boost
  3. Voyager
  4. Eternity

They all have said features (and a button to clean read posts).

I have read it can be counterproductive in the long term... That's why I stopped (and because I didn't consult a medic for it) I took it for more than 3 months daily and it didn't take all my symptoms (feeling so full after meals and dyspnoea).

I think esomeprazole would be a better fit for reflux, but I am unsure.

Do you take it daily? As in, forever?

I'd be happy with it if only it kept marking as read the posts on scroll... Like come on, I am not a code guy, but I am aware it only requires a single code line to fix.

Boost and Sync were my favorites for Reddit... I wonder why Sync is in a very broken state but Boost isn't 🤔 (both don't update often).

Now try Summit!

A Steam Deck with stock pricing in Mexico.

The game is Metroid Zero Mission, this is the first time I beat a Metroid game, so I decided to start with this one.

I should mention that I used save states and rewind to get the hardest items, but hey, I don't have the time to master all the games I play ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I just realized the one I got from Droidify is forked by Oxford HCC which is the one I am using instead of the "official" one.

Is this the one you guys are using or recommend me to go to the official one?

Sorry for the noob question 😅

First of all, I am not a psycho for using light mode :p

I use dynamic mode, so I get light mode on the day and dark mode at night, I think having this overlay with dark mode has no visible effect (at least I haven't noticed it with my AMOLED screen), but as you can see it is clearly visible when using light mode.

And now while I am asking for stuff... Can we get the article/link preview as a toggle?

I am having some issues while browsing stuff if I have IPv6 activated (and it is a pain in the ass to deactivate it in Android), I suppose this is an ISP issue... So some image preview takes longer than it should, the same occurs for link previews which can take ridiculous amounts of time. I appreciate the feature and I find it cool, but for my environment it causes more issues than what it offers.

Kudos to the Summit dev, I hope this post doesn't bother you on your vacations!

I couldn't care less about such a thing (it's not like I could use it with Sync for Reddit anyway) but I genuinely thought these gimmicks were already dead?

I definitely recall some redditors commenting on something like "if awards still exist I would give you one right away".

Can I transfer my awards from Reddit to Lemmy? /s

You can see this minor bug in the picture that I shared here.

I don't know if dev is aware, but as I didn't see anyone commenting about it I wanted to share it :)

I am not following these claims carefully, but I have seen tons of copies of Lawnchair in the Playstore.

Another recent event that comes to my mind is the Simple apps, which AFAIK they always were open source? But that didn't matter until it got sold and then Fossify was the non shit version of it (the positive side of open source).

Interesting that they ranked Phantom Hourglass as number 1, nowadays it is considered one of the worst Zelda games... And I don't agree at all.

Long time Kodi and Plex user, it was a matter of time that I started messing around with this.
