The ability to change the launcher (i.e., practically the whole user interface) at will simply by installing an alternative one from your app store of choice, or an APK.

Aren't they kidnapping children for “reeducation” and whatnot..? I think that counts as genocide...

And even if they weren't (currently) doing it in Ukraine they've been doing it elsewhere, like in Chechnya...

And, well, genocides, pogroms, and whatnot have been a Russian tradition for a long time... Ukraine in particular still remembers Stalin's holodomor, and the deportation of the Crimean Tatars...

Hell, if there's such a thing as unintentional genocide or genocide by incompetence they've probably been doing it to themselves for centuries... “... and then things got worse” and all that...

Yeah, but the Foundation trilogy has seven books.
The last two being prequels.

(Also it's connected to the Galactic Empire trilogy, which does have three books, but was published in reverse order, and the Robot series, a four book duology not to be confused with Asimov's other robot books, though it's set in the same universe, and also to The End of Eternity, which is set in a different timeline altogether but is sort of a prequel to the whole shebang.)

Well, Foundation and Earth is the fifth book of the Foundation trilogy... of course it's weird.

Not exactly apocalyptic (well, I guess it's pretty apocalyptic for the victims of the war), but Iain M. Banks' Consider Phlebas has plenty of action and is a fun read (and a gateway to the rest of the Culture series)...

If anyone has trouble finding him in the picture, he's below the ears.

Yeah, but the compression artifacts make the other one more authentic.

At this point it's mostly mousetraps, though.

And taking out important parts of the machine and replacing them with mousetraps.

Ah, maybe they refederated them, then, or maybe I'm misremembering (though I'm pretty certain there was some drama about this a while back... maybe they just block specific communities..?)

But I am open to a moderated, defederated, sane inatance if you know any.

LemmyNSFW seems fine to me, if you're OK with downvotes being disabled, and I'm pretty certain .ml defederated it because ooh, porn!; db0 also seems reasonable, and if I'm not mistaken both .ml and .world defederated it because ooh, piracy!.

And most of the smaller ones seem to be fine too.

Or just roll your own, that was always allowed.
