The conclusion is based on the radio traffic between the plane and Belarussian air traffic control, which their government released here (scroll to the bottom). Note that the pilot doesnt mention the fighter jet at all.
You might say that the transcript is not accurate, but this communication is entirely unencrypted. If Belarus made any modifications, the airline or neighboring countries would surely notice and contest it. I havent seen anyone contest the correctness of the transcript, which makes me assume that it is correct.

The EU is an imperialist project which exists mainly to benefit capitalists. This is easy to see when you look at its origins, which are the European Coal and Steel Community, European Economic Community and Euratom. All of those are related to large corporations, and energy policy.
Then there is the fact that the EU was strongly shaped by the United States, "liberating" its markets and privatising many state services, all to increase profits for companies. And of course the EU is very closely linked with NATO.
Today with the Euro its even worse, especially Germany benefits a lot because of its exports, while poorer countries are unable to devalue their currencies, which would allow them to overcome crisis. And you have wages lowered in richer countries by workers coming from Eastern Europe, who are working under miserable conditions.
Yep, he basically says out loud what a lot of people think, namely criticising the monarchy and the capitalist state. And of course the state cant let that go unpunished.

A normal country would see that as a huge injustice, and people would protest.

The EU and NATO basically exist as tools that help the US to exercise control over Europe. This spying is just a normal part of that control. And I dont think it can be considered as inter-imperialist conflict, because Europe is not independent from the US (just look how many military bases they have here).
