Rules and Guidelines

1. No BigotryIncluding racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, or xenophobia.

2. Be CivilArgue in good faith, attack the argument; not the person, and promote a healthy debate. That includes implying violence, threats or wishes of violence and/or death.

3. No PornThis instance is not made to host porn communities. You're free to access porn communities on other instances through your account, but be mindful of Rule 4.

4. Use the NSFW tagUse your common sense: if you wouldn't want this image to show up on your work computer, tag it as such. In comments, use the
spoiler ::: tag for NSFW images, and put a NSFW mention beside links. Do not use NSFW images as your avatar or banner. :::
5. No Ads / SpamThis instance is not there to act as your billboard. If you want to promote your personal work, at least make the effort to be a contributing member of this community. Your account purpose shouldn't be to only advertise, make it natural.

6. Bot accountIf you are the operator of a "bot" account, make sure to flag is as such in the account's settings.

7. Right to privacyDo NOT distribute the personal information of someone else without their consent (aka doxxing). Information that is public domain can be shared, provided it is in good faith.
ex: The official email of an elected official is fair, the private phone number or the real name of a non-public person is NOT.

8. Report abuseThe report function isn't labelled the disagree button. You might not agree with someone, but that doesn't mean what the person says is against the rules. Using it repeately in this fashion will lead to actions being taken against the reporter.

9. ImpersonationDon't make an account with the intent to negatively deceive or defame someone on the fediverse.
ex: Parody of a famous person is okay, submitting outrageous content as appearing like another user, mod or admin isn't.

I recently downloaded this file from Audioz (I didn't run the exe, just extracted the rar.) Check out the comments, many people have run it through sandbox environments like any.run or hybrid analysis and gotten iffy results:

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/d1fdb98c8cd8be48bed316bc6740c09922b24fe54134a21f9c6935798800e0ce/community

It looks like there are quite a few analysis services besides virustotal that are marking the file as malicious.

https://hybrid-analysis.com/sample/d1fdb98c8cd8be48bed316bc6740c09922b24fe54134a21f9c6935798800e0ce https://bazaar.abuse.ch/sample/d1fdb98c8cd8be48bed316bc6740c09922b24fe54134a21f9c6935798800e0ce

This is a popular upload on Audioz and is also listed directly on Team VR's website, so what gives? I thought Team VR was considered safe. Maybe someone experienced needs to look at their stuff a little more closely?

Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Saturday vowed to take revenge for the killing of their prime minister and other political leaders by Israeli airstrikes earlier this week.

The Houthis confirmed Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi was killed in a strike on the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Thursday, which also left others seriously wounded.

Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the Houthis’ Supreme Political Council, said in a video statement, “We promise to God, to the dear Yemeni people and the families of the martyrs and wounded that we will take revenge and we will turn the wounds into a victory.”

Al-Rahawi is the most senior figure in the Iran-backed Houthis to be killed in Israeli’s campaign against the group.

I have absolutely nowhere to put it, being in a 5th floor apartment; but I really want a 10' tall skeleton...

Half debating pissing my neighbors off by just dangling its legs off the balcony down at them. But I also don't have $400+ to drop on that rn :/

The trouble is, people still don’t talk about it the way they talk about Hungary, not inside the US and not outside it. That’s partly the It Can’t Happen Here mindset, partly a reluctance to accept a reality that would require, of foreign governments especially, a rethink of almost everything. If the US is on its way to autocracy, in a condition scholars might call “unconsolidated authoritarianism”, then that changes Britain’s entire strategic position, its place in the world, which for 80 years has been predicated on the notion of a west led by a stable, democratic US. The same goes for the EU. Far easier to carry on, either pretending that the transformation of the US is not, in fact, as severe as it is, or that normal service will resume shortly. But the world’s leaders, like US citizens, cannot ignore the evidence indefinitely. To adapt the title of that long-ago novel, it can happen here – and it is.

JD Vance has said he is ready to take on the presidency “If God forbid, a terrible tragedy happens” to Donald Trump.

In a wide-ranging interview with USA TODAY, the vice president said he was “confident” President Trump would see out the rest of his term, but added he has had a lot of “on-the-job training”.

He also insisted to White House Correspondent Francesca Chambers Trump was in “incredibly good health”, despite recent questions about the president’s physical wellbeing.

Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, was heckled and drowned out at times by demonstrators at a ribbon-cutting ceremony in her home state Tuesday, the latest in a series of confrontations between protesters and members of Congress.

"Shame! Shame! Shame!" protesters yelled at Collins as she cut the ribbon to mark the completion of the long-running Route 1 construction project in Searsport.

The demonstrators were yelling about cuts to Medicare, Israeli attacks on Gaza and Donald Trump's nominees on the Supreme Court, video of the event shows.
