I feel like that’s how I felt all day. I went in hoping to win, but not expecting it. My realistic optimistic expectation for today was that we would lose but keep it close (which we did). But I’ll be damned if it isn’t frustrating seeing the defense ball out and get 3 turnovers and only get 6 points with it.

No Kolton Miller hurts a lot, but I’d rather lose this game and be better prepared to take on KC. Can’t believe I’m happier today than after any win with McDouchebag. Onto the Queefs!

First and foremost, I don't think anyone can be too angry with this performance. The guys created opportunities and didn't quit until the bell. It was an east coast game in Miami after they had a bye week. I do have some pros / cons however.

Cons

  • 2 minute and thirty seconds left in the half when you don't receive with several timeouts...I understand Jacobs is the name of the game but AOC had been playing well...the kid deserved to air it out there and play for the win

  • Not very many play action passes which I really think should have been utilized more

  • Statistically this game wasn't a blowout, but the only reason it was close was due to some deserved turnovers

  • Penalties killed us after the previous games and the team didn't feel hyped up like they did before (could be attributed to travel)

Pros

  • AOC for the most part made good decisions even if he wasn't perfectly on point with the ball and he never got rattled

  • Not much pressure on the qb, however turnovers came through for the defense

  • Played a good team on the road after a bye close

  • Hunter Renfrow finally got to show he really does still have it (thats my dude)

Overall, its not the end of the world. I want to see AP show a little more personality while coaching...when he has some swagger to him so do the Raiders. I think the Raiders need to show that attitude for the rest of the season for me to want AP to take over. I love the dude is a Raider. 100% and I know the consensus is fuck Harbaugh...but Harbaugh has been successful everywhere he has coached...I'm not even saying we need to get him, but to marry ourselves to AP cuz he loves the Raiders might be the wrong reason. I REALLY hope he is that guy tho.

AOC is servicable....but absolutely cannot be the reason we don't take a top QB this year, a CJ Shroud, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow type QB would elevate the team to another level...doesn't mean I'm not in his corner.

I love the copium in this sub

“He’s just a rookie”

This guy might be able to be 2023 Carr on the saints in a few years

Best offense in the entire NFL, and we didn't get embarrassed by any stretch of the imagination? Held to 20 points, close game?

That's kind of insane.

Aidan may not be the guy or anything but I think we just proved we're not far from actually being a relevant team some day soon if we can either develop him or find someone to compliment this defense.

Dude wanted to be a raider and we didn’t make it happen this will forever haunt me. I couldn’t imagine how good out D would be with that dude playing outside. We win today if we have Ramsy

We’re gonna have a new OC and a new QB next year. That comes with a great deal of uncertainty. Did we waste Tae’s tenure with us?

Rookie mistakes, yeah, but AOC's pocket awareness is a damn exciting upgrade for this team. I'm still thinking about that TD to Mayer vs the Jets. The dropback, the left side reads, the escape, the lightning-quick read to the right, and the soft touch on that throw. Dude will be *good* as long as he's allowed to be.

IMO how the coaches and team respond to this will be important.

We definitely could have won and had plenty of opportunity to win, but we are heading in the right direction. LFG. Raaaaaaders.

This might sound like a ramble but we went the distance, it might’ve been an ugly game but it was on both sides. What we all got to see this week from AOC were plenty of rookie mistakes which makes me optimistic about his and our future. To me, rookie mistakes are the easiest to fix and honestly although this was our first loss under AP, i’m convinced that AOC is our guy even more than last week. Go Raiders!!!

We kept the dolphins (one of the best teams) on the ropes was a good game played to the last minute, our defense looks outstanding, offense needs work but the fact we went pound for pound with a team that put up 70 points earlier this year, especially when they are well rested fresh of a bye feels pretty good

Rookie 4th rd QB will be fine… the D is legit! And Miller was missed. Heal up… let’s regroup and go back home. I’m not upset with this L at all.

Despite the outcome, this team is already visibly better under AP than it ever was with JMD. That said, it’s painfully obvious that we need to invest into a reliable offensive line with workable depth - same thing with the secondary.

I’ll give Bo the benefit of the doubt on this game, it wasn’t his best I’m not gonna call for his head but the play calling left me wanting better. The 4th & 2 shot the end zone to Jakobi who clearly gave up on the route left me sick… run 2 slants 2 hitches and a flat just get the yards and keep the drive alive. We held our own against arguably the highest powered offense in the league. But 6 points off 4 turnovers ain’t gonna win in this league.

AOC did well, 100% confident he did better than Jimmy G would’ve. We have the makings of a playoff team in my opinion and the future is absolutely brighter now than it has been in the past 1.5 years.
