The other day I saw some comment with the typical edit that paints a picture of being a persecuted victim cancelled by the internet. I took a second look and what do I see? The vote count is literally at -2. 3 downvotes and they’re shaking in their boots thinking they’re being lynched.

I only experienced lemmy so it may be possible that mastodon politics is less anticapitalist, but i dont think its to the point of there being a flood of trump supporters to attack someone

There are a lot of people who readily believe that putting any regulation in front of a company will mean that prices will go up and they will lose their jobs while also believing that taking away those regulations will, for some reason, lower prices and give them higher wages despite that pretty much never happening.
