There's no reason why we can't be one of the richest countries on earth. We do have a small population but with the increase in technology and automation we can make up for the low population by increasing worker productivity. We also have to find a way to have a gun to the us head somehow. North Korea uses a huge supply of misses and bombs close to the sk Capitol that stops any kind of invasion. We need that to prevent any kind of physical invasion. Maybe new york or some other city in close proximity to the border. Basically of you invade us, we level a city or something. Gotta be a way to at least slow down the prospect of an invasion. Or even threaten to collapse their power grid or something.
