It's literally legal to blow up a Tesla. Jan 6 pardons set the legal precedent that organized terrorism involving property damage is just fine. Carry on vandals. I do not condone or reject your actions but I do understand them to be legal.
Pretty sure laws don't exist in the us anymore anyways...
More to the point, laws there are made up as they go along. Now I know that all laws are made up, but in the US today, it's literally "that law is what I make it to be today, tomorrow it might be something else"
Precedent means shit in an environment like that
Crimes against persons/police officers were also pardoned
Important to remember this when we consider the relative morality of Tesla vandals. So far I haven't heard of anyone getting hurt so I think it's pretty mild.
it's only legal if you are a MAGA cunt.
Nope, it’s not legal to blow up a Tesla.
I'm legitimately confused. Why is this different than Jan6ers who were pardoned? I thought violent insurrection/protest was legal since Jan 6 2021. ELI5.
It's also illegal in some places to bring an orange into a bathtub, we use common law in the US so citing civil law statutes is not a valid argument.
I know you're a Russian shill based on your comment history, your home country follows civil law so perhaps that's confusing to you.
You can be pardoned for having done something illegal.
Jan 6th benefits trump, torching teslas doesn't. His doj won't apply the laws equally, the rule of law is long dead in the US.
If the law is arbitrary then everything is legal.
I see it differently. If the law is arbitrary, only the things the leader wants its legal.
Legal becomes a meaningless term then. If we can define words however I want my definition is equal.
Pardons don't make the crime they committed legal.
So being "legal" is meaningless then?
