Where can I get a 55 inch monitor thats not one of those weird ass ultrawide thingies?

I've never bought a commercial display, but I've heard of them as alternatives to smart TVs. I don't know about the management software on this though. Additionally, I hard that some displays are really meant as signage, so they don't display moving images well. It may require more research than buying a consumer TV.
That's nearly 1k for a 55. I paid 350 for my LG 4k.
Discounted because of all the bloatware they put on it...
I have no complaints. I don't use ITS smart features tho. I gots myself a roku for my plex server. Haven' seen the LG's homescreen in years.
Roku is enshitifying these days to. Forced ads on startup. I got one the other day. And it was double loud too. But it stopped after that. So it is just a matter of time before we have to find a roku replacement.
Be careful. I've heard tells / seen posts that seem to indicate there are now monitors that tap your USBC to get network, and display ads.. 🫠
what precisely does "tap my USB C" mean? USB isn't something that just permeates the air, and a charger can't magically access the internet unless you specifically have powerline adapters installed (and even then good luck)
