So, I never really watched anything on YouTube until recently when I stumbled into some true crime rabbit holes and ended up finding my way there. Anyway, I kept noticing frequent audio cutouts and upon paying closer attention I realized the creators were intentionally censoring certain words (like sexual assault, suicide, rape, etc) as they found if they didn't their videos would end up randomly removed - sometimes after weeks or even months had passed without incident- delisted (essentially) from recommendation algorithms, or simply inexplicably demonitized. This also seems to happen if certain figures are mentioned, such as (though certainly not limited to) the likes of Marilyn Monroe, suspected/known members of a variety of child trafficking and CSAM rings that operated in Europe throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s, and on, and - as you may've surmised by this point - Jeffery Epstein.

Do with that what you will.
